good 1st contract

Enjoyed the verity of characters as the story unfolds. as for a 1st space then 1st contact over all it was very well done

They finally encounter the aliens.

Just as Kitty gets ok as a leader, she gets pangs of her conscience- guilt.

Creative

This was a refreshing change! Out of the box thinking and very few curse words. Just good writing!

Kids at summer camp save the earth

This book is written like kids at summer camp would write it. A camping couple find a space ship and quickly build a fleet to save the earth from big bad aliens. Characters are shallow. Women take a too prominent part (sorry ladies it gets ridiculous). In their first major space battle, the woman captain has the stupidity to allow her ship to fly right through a cloud of debris from an enemy ship she just shot up, and gets destroyed - come on! Lead male character is always overshadowed by the girls in his life. Where did the title "Herald" come from? Why not just "supreme female leader"?

Its a long listen - but the story holds you just to see what happens in the end - which I will let you find out for yourself. Sorry - don't blame me.

It's been a long time since I've spent all my free time listening to a book. Great story line,keeps your interest.
