Publisher's summary

In the first book, Hadjar lost it all. His body ruined, parents dead, and his title of Prince replaced by a slave collar. It seemed like Primus had deprived him of everything.

But no one can take away a man's will to fight. Even if his heart turns into a bleeding stone due to endless grief and suffering, it won't matter. The most important thing was that he still had the will to go on. The thought of taking revenge on his family's murderers gave him the strength to survive.

After receiving a piece of the mighty Dragon's heart, he regained his strength and enlisted in the army, where he made real friends and fought by their side in many battles. He started harnessing his new power and acquiring great knowledge.

Hadjar has already had many adventures, but this is only the beginning of his great journey, full of magical mysteries, palace intrigues, epic battles, tempestuous love and the cultivation of his power....

Wat a great series so far

I grit my teeth during the battles
I shed tears at the loss of the characters
I yearn for the next installment
The story does not disappoint.

The narration is good but at times I wish he would drink some water.

Good trilogy

Good story and a great closure to the first trilogy; but a rather depressing end

this continues to be a fantastic series

Really enjoying this series. It continues to have a great story line, with unique support characters and an enjoyable path for the MC. I hope that Kevin Collins stays the narrator of this series as he's done such a great job so far. I do wish the opposition characters had a little more variety in the "I'm mad, let's fight" voices. The "lower your voice and yell" voice that's associated with everyone makes it tough in larger fights. It would nice to hear more variety. That said, I'm certain none of us can really understand how difficult narration is and I hope Collins continues to be the narrator of this and many other series.

horrible ending

killing off Nero and sarah and he's portrayed as a traitor. never sees his sister again as she waits at their meeting spot twice a year for hundreds of years. wtf kind of ending is that? wish I never even started the series.
