creepy and a mink fk
SPOILER this book had me believing in supernatural poltergeist amongsth other things. truly I think the story had a sad underlying truth about post traumatic stress disorder and how far ones mind can escape into an alternate reality that feels so real. sadly people do suffer from PTSD without even realizing it.

Shallow, not well written, and a complete rip-off
What would have made Dolly better?
This is a complete, light weight, shallow and not well written rip-off of the recent movie "Annabelle." Definitely NOT EXTREME HORROR; just stupid.
What was most disappointing about Jubilee Savage’s story?
The shallowness and lack of originality of the story.
How could the performance have been better?
Perhaps a female voice to better reflect the mother's perspective. This is not always an issue, but I found it disorienting when the male voice began, as I thought he was a father character. Narrator didn't have much to work with, but not a great narrator in general.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Pissed off I spent $10 on this waste of time ripped-off story.
Any additional comments?

A Great Horror Story for an Entertaining Afternoon
I really enjoyed listening to this story. It had a great summertime feel to a very creepy story of possession. I liked the characters of the single Mom and two daughters very much, they seemed very real and had me rooting for them all the way to the end. All in all, a very enthralling tale with great narration that made it a pleasure to listen to. I noticed that this is to be a trilogy and after the twist that caught me completely off guard at the end, I can't wait for the next installment .

Great first effort.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The author did a good job with her debut novel. Yes, there were a few repetitive sentences, however the overall story was good and kept me wondering what would come next. The ending was a surprise I was not expecting and a few scenes had me shivering.
Would you recommend Dolly to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes. A good first novel and I believe this author will have more up her sleeve in the future.
Have you listened to any of Eric A. Shelman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Eric Shelman is an amazing narrator! He was able to wondefully create the emotions and different characters and completely bring them to life.

Not Extreme, But Entertaining
Extreme
The last half hour would be considered extreme, but by that time I was actually laughing and routing for the main character to do something even more terrifying.
At the end of the first hour, I was thinking I was going to give up, but I could not stop listening and the more I listened, the more I was interested. I enjoyed the development of the characters. Kind of cliché, but kind of not.
I thought I knew where the story was going, but I did not at all. This is not a book for everyone. I like books with that B movie feel to them. I like my horror to not be real horror. Campy maybe? I don't know. If you know what I am talking about, you will like this. If you are lost, and I understand, you probably will not enjoy this.
I did not understand the narrator at all. He did an okay job, but top tier, he is not. I also did not understand why a man was narrating, when almost all the characters are female.
I am buying the two sequels. I may be sorry, but I am going to give it a shot. Tune in tomorrow.
