Unfortunate

I love the writing. I love the story. The performance was outstanding. But where was the romance? Heat was 0.25/5. I understand sex is sensitive in this type of story, BUT it can certainly play a proper role. The physical romance in this book did not show up until 1 hour before the end, which I detest. If you like the slowest burns, this book is perfect for you. But if you need some sensuality and action with your romance, this may not be the one. It’s so disappointing, because otherwise I really loved this book.

I have to emphasize the quality of the narration. I would listen to these narrators again and again. The sex scenes, limited as they are, were performed to perfection, not just read.

Lex was abducted, he was the one to save her. Good story and romance about two broken people who try to heal each other. Love this series.

This is a feel good series!

Yeah, everything goes right for the couple, in this series. No one cheats, denies their feelings and the story is pretty angst free. Some might say that these facts make the story boring. However, there is enough other plot conflicts going on that I didn’t get bored at all. My only complaint is that the novel was too short; the longer the better. Actually, it was kind of nice to not be stressed out by the object of my escape; for a change. I am anxious to go on to the next book.

Loved It

I'm never disappointed with a Scott Hildreth book I know it's going to be a five star read. This book was no exception. Being an audiobook made it a better experience. The narrators did an amazing job. Cholo is amazing and compassionate. Lex is strong and determined. They make the perfect pair. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait for the next one.
