I love Renner rose and have read all her books but

I love her books and I love Benjamin sands narration but I was irritated his name was changed from the book his name was gio in all the other books so it was iritating to hear his name changed from gio to Joe like what the heck ?? He went from a super Italian name Giovanni to Joe like what the actual he**?? Otherwise the book was great but his name change kinda soured it for me!!

A great listen

The narration was perfect. I loved the story. It was an emotional experience for me.

Marissa and Joe

Marissa's family did not make it easy for her to be with Joe. They know he is mafia so they were totally prejudiced against the entire Tacone family. I am so glad she wised up so they could be together. He treated her so well and he was so sexy. He could not get enough of her. Mafia or not, who wouldn't want a Joe of their own? They were two broken souls who healed each other. Benjamin Sands did an awesome job with the narration. He was the perfect choice and sounded totally mafia. There was also a nice set up for another book. I highly recommend the entire Vegas Underground series.

I was so furious with Marissa's prejudiced family. Grrr...!!!! Joe/ Gio changed and grew and was good for Marissa, but all her family could see was the past and refused to move forward even when they saw the negative effects their choices had on her!!! Smh! Jie/Gio had a goid heart and was willing to move heaven and earth for Marissa. I was glad she took her blinders off before it was too late. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. I loved it all.

Great series, but maybe skip this one

I love the whole Vegas underground series, but this one was not the best. The female lead was so unlike able it was frustrating to get through.
