Story
Our ability to prevent and reverse these conditions—and feel incredible today—is under our control and simpler than we think. The key is our metabolic function—the most important and least understood factor in our overall health. As Dr. Casey Means explains in this book, nearly every health problem we face can be explained by how well the cells in our body create and use energy. To live free from frustrating symptoms and life-threatening disease, we need our cells to be optimally powered so that they can create “good energy,” the essential fuel that impacts every aspect of our wellbeing.

Background music
A very poor choice of background music for the first 1/2 of this day's meditation. The music was so irritating that it was impossible to relax to the calming voice.

Flawed but Effective
Effective bc it helps me sleep most nights which is crucial since I’ve had trouble sleeping my whole life. The voice is calming. The music, repetitions, visualizations, counting, and meditations are helpful. There was once this book was unavailable on audible for a few days so I tried out other sleep aids on Spotify but was relieved when this was available again bc the others weren’t as effective. This met my needs.
Flawed because the narrator is way too fast. I always listen at .8x speed. I would prefer even slower but the audio and music distorts too much if u do. Also some parts made no sense to me. Like when she tells u to bring awareness to various body parts and she tells u to think about ur spleen and liver and stuff. What? Thinking about your hands and feet make sense.. but your spleen?? For these flaws I took off a star but given its effectiveness, still give it 4 overall!

Distracting Music
The music for night 5 is really strange and distracting. The others are fine, at least to me.

Issue with the body relaxation sequence
During the body awareness section there is a verbal miscue. After moving through the right arm, we are directed to move focus to the left leg. Halfway through the directions switch to the right knee. Seems like this section needs to be rerecorded.

Chanting in background too loud
Jade does a good job however the chanting in the background is too loud and distracting. It does not promote a restful or relaxing state. I had to turn it off after a few minutes and go back to the previous night's meditation.

Definitely not for me.
The techniques and guided meditations for relaxing and going to sleep are ok, but Alexis' voice was jarring to me. I felt like an exhausted parent at the end of their emotional rope was demanding that I just "Go the F*ck to Sleep," as another audiobook puts it. Perhaps if she were giving me get-up-and-go orders or workout commands it would have been more appropriate.

Didn't help me at all
I wish I could say I enjoyed this, but it was not successful. As soon as the program was over, I found myself wide awake once again. I have to have noise to sleep and as soon as it went quiet, the eyes popped open. :( Namaste

Music is eerie and unsettling
I’ve enjoyed the first 4 days of this series but had to skip this one. The music made me anxious as I was trying to fall asleep. It was almost haunting, not relaxing.

Not relaxing at all
I found myself feeling anxious. The tempo is to fast the tone is not relaxing.
