Cliffhanger Alert

Julian Rousseaux has a problem. He’s single, and for the world’s wealthiest vampires, the social season is about to begin. Julian would rather stake himself than participate in the marriage market. But as the eldest, eligible Rousseaux he’s expected to find a wife before the season ends—whether he likes it or not.

Of course there is a cliffhanger and although book 2 is out on Audible it shows there are 4 books in the series (3&4 not on Audible yet) but because it ended in a cliffhanger and I have no patience to wait for all four books I am going to take my chances and go to book 2, because I have too.

Julian and Thea holy agnst, fake dating, forbidden romance (Julian is an Original Vampire and Thea is Human). Julian was instantly intrigued by Thea from the time he stumbled on her at an event, he immediately felt protective of her and drawn to her but doesn't understand why, mortals are usually considered a snack to vampires, he also doesn't know why he can't compell her.
Thea is also drawn to Julian even after finding out that he is a vampire, they both have an undeniable need for the other. Julian threatens to rip off heads of anyone that comes near her or touches her and when he growls and says "Touch her, you die" it just kind of does something to you. Julian is a original vampire and wants Thea but when he finds out she is a virgin he refuses to have sex with her but that doesn't stop the Bloodlust he has for her and all the other ways he can show her how much he wants her. For vampires they are in the social season and he is under pressure to get married, so he gets Thea to fake date him thinking it will help him avoid the Ritual and all the other vampire politics of him needing to marry a Familiar (Witch) to strengthen the bloodlines, and he can also protect her at the same time.
Along with the good banter and sexual chemistry, there is also a little humor sprinkled in, Not on the dark side of vampire romance but the reading is good.
The narration is perfection.

Better than anticipated

I originally picked the book because of both readers, Stella & Teddy, and boy did they deliver. The story line was funny and did not expect the story at all. I was smiling and laughing at some parts and sad with others. I am glad I took a gamble on this book.

This book was frustratingly good

The misunderstandings like literally almost made me stop listening to this book 😡. But the story was good and the action was amazing. The narrators were great.

I’m not going to bother to get the next book right now considering it’s several more unavailable and this one ended on a frustrating cliffhanger 🙄.

I saw this book on pre-order and thought it sounded pretty good, and with the narrators, you think it’s going to be amazing, but I waited to see what the reviews said. OMG listen to the reviews, it is seriously that good! I was hooked and wanted it to go slower, but you just can’t put it down. I feel so much for Thea and Julian and the ending quite sucks because I have to wait 3 weeks for the next book. Stella and Teddy are amazing narrators and knocked it out of the park. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Astounding, simply astounding!

This is an entertaining, romantic, heartbreaking story. I fell in love with vampires an eon ago and this rendition slaked my thirst.
