From USA Today best-selling author A. Zavarelli comes an enemies to lovers romance full of blackmail, emotional twists, and explosive chemistry.

From the shadows, I’ve tracked her every move.

I was just supposed to watch her. But now, I can’t stop.

She’s my obsession. My addiction. My poison.

Watching her isn’t enough.

The savage in me won’t be satisfied until I take her and make her mine.

One taste and I’m hooked. Too bad for her...I’m never letting her go.

Stalked. Hunted. Captured.

He took me from my life and locked me away in his compound.

The ex-con. The big bad biker. Inked, bearded, and inhumanely sized.

And yet, every time he looks at me, I melt.

This broken beast hides demons behind those brutal eyes. I hate him...and I crave him. His touch, his words, his lips.

When my enemies come for me, he vows to protect me as long as I do what he says. I’ll be secure in this prison he created for me.

But who will protect me from him?

Convict proved too darkly, heartbreaking for me.

There's a fine line between love and obsession. With Convict, Zavarelli doesn't just blur it, she wipes it clean away. Shedlock and Navarro have their work cut out in turning Birdie and Ace into likeable people, but they definitely succeed in forming them into unforgettable ones. Though eerily, haunting, Convict proved too darkly, heartbreaking for me.

Great Conclusion

I received a copy of this book for Audiobook Obsession to review.

Have you read Confess?? If not I highly recommend that you read that book and I would do it first simply so you know the back story of Gypsy and Birdie. In Confess you get the story of Gypsy and Lucian. But you do meet Birdie and Ace there. That book doens't end in a cliff to begin in this book it just leaves a nice opening for Birdie and Ace's story. I am so excited that we got this book. I just knew that Ace had an amazing story to tell and that he and Birdie were going to be perfect for each other but not without having to go through danger and lies and hidden secrets. In this book Ace has been asked by Gyspy to take her sister Birdie and keep her safe. You see Birdie is a con artist and she pulls some careless and reckless cons and is wated by law enforcement. Detective Taylor is the one who wants to capture her the most and bring her to justice. Ace is a quiet man who is loyal to Lucian and by fault becasue they are now married, Gypsy. He can't tell her no about taking care of Birdie, but he knows that he should. She stirs things up in him that the man never new existed. But he is a ex-con and really has never had any experience with women. This book will hook you from the first page and have you not wanting to put it down. Darn the laundry and cooking that must be down around my house. It made me have to put this book down and I wasn't thrilled to do it at all. I loved these characters so much and Convict was just as good as I knew it would be. I closed Confess wanting the story of Birdie and Ace and boy oh boy did I get it and can't say enough good things about it. You do not want to miss this book. You do not want to miss Confess either. If you like your books dark and gritty and full of secrets with some major twists and turns you do not want to miss this series. It's one I am sure I will reread several times. A Zavarelli has hit this one so far out of the park . She is quickly becoming on of my must read authors. If you have never read her books this is a good set to start with. Trust me though, once you start her books your going to want to read them all!!! I loved listening to this one too and I will say that while one of the narrators was a different person than the first book it took me a while to figure it out so you won't even notice I don't think.

Wow

I love A. Zavarelli. I know her books tend to be darker. I have enjoyed her books. This book is really well written and so richly detailed. That having been said, it was a little dark for my tastes. Even so, I had to finish the book. It was really good. It's not my personal preference, but it says a lot that I still could not put it down. The narration was so good. The narrators embody the roles so much.

Dark story with some added sweetness

Okay so I really liked this book. It was a dark romance but it was also kind of sweet. I didn’t read the first book in this series so I didn’t have all the background information on the sisters but I also feel like It didn’t take away from Birdie and Huck’s story. Both characters were broken with horrendous childhoods. They both have done some things that they hate about themselves. I loved them together. I loved that they help each other be better versions of themselves

Also the male narrator was fire. His voice was perfect in every way.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Heartfelt & Intense!

A. Zavarelli pens another amazing book for her “Sin City Salvation” series. She is a master at writing dark romance, her storylines are interesting and intense, they grabbed me right in and held my mind straight to the end. The characters are complex and well developed. I adored both lead characters, they are two broken and tortured souls but they perfect together and for each other. Birdie is Gypsy’s sister, their childhood was tragic but the two survived the best way they could. Birdie is still dealing with scum from her past which comes back with a vengeance. Ace’s life has not been easy, he too had a screwed up childhood which lead to a screwed up adulthood. He became obsessed with Birdie after keeping an eye on her for Lucian, Gypsy’s husband. Gypsy is concerned about Birdies so she asks Ace to take her away and keep her safe. I loved how everything plays out in this book, loved getting to know more about both Ace and Birdie, loved all the drama, angst, twists, thrilling suspense, mystery and most of all loved the chemistry between Ace and Birdie and the hot romance. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone but I highly recommend reading or listening to the first book “Confess”, which is Lucian and Gyspy’s story. A. Zavarelli, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Aaron Shedlock and Kelsey Navarro are fantastic narrators and talented voice artists. They bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture and project the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story into their performance. Aaron’s portrayal of Ace and Kelsey’s Birdie were spot on, they sounded like I pictured them in my mind. Both are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen🎧

Dark And Amazing

#AudiobookObsession

This is my first audiobook from A. Zavarelli and boy, what a rollercoaster. I am very cautious about listening to or reading dark romance for fear of triggers. But this one didn't trigger me once. The narrators made the story their own and I enjoyed it very much.

Ace & Birdie!

Convict (A Dark Romance) Sin City Salvation, Book 2 is an interconnected standalone with a complete ending, however timelines do converge. Told in dual pov, with a dark element, and well detailed history of the characters unveiled in tiers. Character's are compelling with complex personalities. A riveting sweep off one's feet romance that is more twisted than a neurotic pretzel. Dark elements swirling through the pages of this suspenseful tale. The writing style is addictive and the narrative is captivating.

Narrated by: Kelsey Navarro, Aaron Shedlock dual narration was super-duper. Aaron's deep baritone voice fit Ace's character perfectly. Kelsey's portrayal of Birdie brought her character out with all the right sentiments. Both inflections were smooth and flowed through easily.

Overall, a beautiful romance about two broken souls.

Emotional and messy but so good

This is the story of Ace and Birdie, who were both first introduced in the first book of the series, Confess. Ace is friends with Lucian and Birdie is Gypsy’s sister.

Initially, I wasn’t a huge fan of Birdie- she is hyper damaged from her past so I was definitely sympathetic to her character but she was really immature. However, given she’s only 20, I think it probably is relatively realistic (ah to be so young again). I loved Ace for his protectiveness and as damaged as he was, he was generally caring, although he also had some moments that were cringeworthy. This book had some BDSM themes but it was light- the book is mostly focused on healing from the past, which is very poignant and more emotional than I thought it would be (the same for the first book in the series). There is more angst and action (including a really harrowing part towards the end of the book) than in the prior book so be prepared for that.

Both Aaron Shedlock and Kelsey Navarro narrated and they were both good. I thought that Aaron did a great job representing the multiple characters. Kelsey Navarro did great playing all her roles, including the male roles. I enjoyed the narration.

A wonderfully addictive read

Yep! Hooked from the get-go. I love A Zavarelli books, I like dark and dirty. I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love them. Must say, this isn’t too dark, it does involve some bad bad things, but we don’t get into too much of it in the present day. Basically we have two very broken, very battered souls who connect instantly, both having been extremely badly treated and abused in their youth, both fighting to keep their heads above water. Birdie, unfortunately is not willing to trust anyone, mainly because those that should have protected her in the past didn’t, she’s been badly letdown and she’s still running from her demons, sadly she’s also running away from Ace, the one person who could and would protect her. Lots of emotional drama, lots of sexy time and possibly quite a few triggers for certain people, beware. All this is wrapped up in one truly addictive read. Great story and wonderful writing. Even though I haven’t read book one in this series, it did not lessen my enjoyment of this book.
Narrated by Aaron Sherlock and Kelsey Navarro, I couldn’t think of two better people to perform Ace and Birdie, they were perfect.
