Don't mind me, just crying my eyes out rocking.

I'm only 3/4 of the way through this book and OH MY GAWD. With no spoilers I can promise you this story is one you won't want to stop listening to. I, honestly, have gotten irrationally angry when I have to turn it off. Clenching, gut wrenching, and a lil nerve pinching at times, this book has been an emotional rollercoaster and a suspense bomb all in one. A. Zavarelli you are a queen and I love/hate you for this. Going to listen to the rest of it and cry some more. As a longtime fan of this magnificent author I know I'll only need more tissues and ice cream nearby. I will gain 5 pounds just from stress eating over this couple that I officially adore. Brb will update when done.

Forbidden romance

This was my first book from A. Zavarelli. Although it is book three in the Sin City Salvation series, it can be read as a standalone.

Bianca and Madden’s story was an interesting tale of forbidden romance with second chance feels. This book was full of drama, tragedy and the chemistry was steamy. There were times I felt that their story dragged on, but overall I enjoyed it.

Stefanie Kay and James Anderson Foster did a nice job portraying the characters in this story.

Loved this one! It was angsty and had me wanting more and more even as I kept devouring it! Definitely recommend!

Contempt, an Audiobook by A. Zavarelli, is the mind-blowing story of Madden and Bianca. The love of his life died five years ago. She destroyed him…and now, he thinks she’s returned…unbelievably returned. He wants her to pay…he wants retribution….he wants revenge. But, he doesn’t anticipate the truth…

The internal dilemmas and traumas that they have both experienced in the past five years are unbelievable. There are so many lies, secrets, truths, shocks, traumas, and so much more that slowly unfolds in this gripping, shocking, heart-wrenching story. I did have some difficulty with the constant switches between the past and the present. It was necessary, but it was so frequent I sometimes lost track of whether it was past or present. Did not in anyway detract from this incredible story!!!!

This Audiobook was beautifully narrated by Stefanie Kay and James Anderson Foster. They are phenomenal!!! This story was stellar on its own…but, theses incredible narrators truly bring this story to a new level!!

Brilliant Story & Listen🎧Mesmerizing & Emotional!

A. Zavarelli never ceases to amaze me with her impressive writing style and ability to create stories that are not only mesmerizing but ones that go straight to my heart. Once I started this book, nothing else mattered except what was going to happen next. The complexity and layers of the story are phenomenal, as are the world building and character growth and development. I went into this book blind, knowing A. Zavarelli wrote it was enough to know it was going to be amazing, and I am glad I did, because it is a romance like no other and she takes you are an emotional rollercoaster ride like no other. Madden “Kodiak” Keller is the black sheep of the family and never did anything right, his half-brother, Adam, is all that matters in his family, popular amongst his peers and the apple of his step-father’s eye. Deemed as troubled, Madden’s family sent him away and that was where he met Bianca, a girl whose family felt she needed therapy. The two bonded while there, but she left early and him, like everyone else in his life. But call it fate, call it his screwed up life, but that is not the last he sees of Bianca, she is Adam’s girlfriend. Except she still claims to want him and not Adam, but refuses to leave Adam putting Madden thru the wringer. He finally had enough and enlisted and when he comes back, he comes back as a wounded and broken man, both physically and mentally. Bianca is still with Adam, and still wants Madden, but not is all as it appears and her life is a mess or maybe she is the mess. I loved how everything played out in this book, also lost the unique telling of the story, alternating from present and past, giving you a glimpse of what went on that lead them to where they are in the present. Madden is a murder suspect and authorities believe he may have murdered Bianca too, but they have not found yet a body. Madden never gave up on finding her, and years later he thinks his mind is playing tricks on him when he sees her. At least he thinks it is her, but she does not know him or Bianca. Was she for real or was she playing him? This whirlwind of a story wowed me completely,  the plotting is fantastic, and it kept me on my toes, guessing what really happened and who was behind it. The story has plenty of drama, angst, mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moment, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. A. Zavarelli, thank you for this exceptional story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, A. Zavarelli chose the perfect cast to bring her characters andante story to life. Stefanie Kay and James Anderson Foster are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They did a wonderful job portraying these characters, giving each a voice that suited their persona and was believable in every role they played, from the lead characters to the secondary characters. hey set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhanced an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Amazing story - Amazing narration!!

This story has something for everyone. There really is a lot to unpack with this one. It is so expertly written that the different POVs and timelines take us on a journey filled with ups and downs, trauma and heartbreak, and everything in between. Madden has fallen for Bianca but can’t have her and as a result we go on an epic journey through his life while he tries to get through it without her. We also see Bianca’s struggle with family obligations and trying to be the protector to everyone she loves. While we get different viewpoints through present day and past timelines it becomes obvious that nothing is quite what it seems.
The narration is expertly done. I’m pretty sure this is the first I’ve heard from either narrator and they did an amazing job portraying a myriad of emotions throughout. The dual narration was great and I easily got lost in the story. I highly recommend this audiobook for anyone who loves an angsty, drama filled love story that will take you on an emotional ride.

Wow... I am not sure how I feel after this one... So many emotions have gone through me while reading this one!

This audio is done so well and I loved listening to it, I did it in one day!!

Madden is amazing, and I love him, but he did not make it easy... He has such a great big heart that you really can't help but adore him.

Lyric in this book is sometimes hard to like. But I can relate to her in the way. She has no idea of the life she had before and you can't fault her for that.

I really enjoyed this story and all the twists and turns. When you thought there couldn't be anymore, BAM!
I will be going back to listen to the other previous books.

I wholeheartedly recommend going into this book blind. Literally, all I read was the blurb, and got hooked. What happens in this book is nothing that you'll expect. There are so many twists and turns that you won't know what to believe. You really have to pay attention to the smallest of details. There's so much angst, longing, and even betrayal. Lyric, Bianca, and Madden's story is complicated, heart-wrenching, and so beautiful at the same time. So bring in your psychology-thinking hat because this one will make you put your brain to work. Despite me saying three names, this is a MF romance. You will understand why once you read it.

How does she keep me on the edge of my seat!!!

This book is so well written I can't believe she can keep me on the edge of my seat for the entire book!! I usually don't like books that go back and forth on a time line, but I can't imagine this book being written any other way. It's like two books in one. I am go glad I listened to this book. I can't wait for more books!!
