This is is definitely the best trisha wolfe book soo far

The writing, the plot and the characters 😭🤌🏻🤌🏻 and omg james voice 😭 this man and his voice 🫡 melted

Excellent writing and performance

As always, Trisha Wolfe delivers. Beautifully written characters who actually made me love the arranged marriage trope (which I didn't think was possible)

I lived it so much. The male narrator was excellent. The female was ok, but the story was fantastic! Recommend!

The angst!

I really enjoyed this book-my only hiccup was the angst between MMC and FMC was loooong, don’t get me wrong I loved it but at over 60% of the book I wanted them to finally get together. A enemies to lovers, mafia, kinda Stockholm Syndrome, forced marriage, unhinged MMC and feisty FMC it was an excellent read overall. Love love love James Joseph’s voice that’s what actually brought me to this book-his voice is 😮‍💨😮‍💨! Meg Sylvan has a very soothing voice and I feel did a wonderful job as Violetta.

My Irish Eyes are left smiling

This was so good. The built up was so satisfying and then finale was chef kiss 💋. James Joseph voice just melts me every single time 🫠. Searching for his next book that he narrates ❤️‍🔥….

Slow burn, enemies to lovers, so good…

The story is sexy, a bit angsty, enemies to lovers with a broken Irish mob boss that will burn down the world for his Italian mafia Princess. LOVE the duet narration & the narrators on this book were excellent. JAMES JOSEPH… JAMES JOSEPH!!! He is my favorite Brit narrator. The inflection, the anger, the love, the SPICY SCENES… he is SO GOOD!!! I love everything he reads.

✨ I ENJOYED THE ENEMIES-to-LOVERS BUILD & BURN ✨

Violet was just meant to be a pawn in Lucian’s dark sinister game of revenge against the Italian Mafia for the annihilation of his family but, as he grips her neck just about holding on to his rage, he doesn’t see the threat that neck will become. Because this Irish Mob Boss will be mesmerized and tempted by it.. he’ll kiss and caress it.. he’ll defend and save it.. and eventually he’ll be lured in to loving it too. This prima ballerina was given in a brutal barter but she’s not weak.. she’ll bring this tattooed Irish Kingpin to his knees. And she’ll eventually be willing to die for him. However, first there will be hate, anger, pain, revenge, chemistry and then temptation. They call him the Madman because of the torture and bloody acts he carries out on his victims.. but his possession and jealousy makes him totally unhinged. Great duet-style narration by Meg and James (who is new narrator to me) and his Irish accent was brilliant, fit the character perfectly and didn’t waiver throughout the many emotional outbursts he has. Sizzling feels, chemistry, passion, loyalty and tension-filled drama in an enemies-to-lovers delicious romance.

Worth a credit? Yes I loved - loved - loved it.

Trisha, Trisha, Trisha! You need to write more Mafia romance because this was too good! It’s dark and gritty. It’s spicy and you can feel the tension pouring from this book!

It’s family rivalry. It’s passion. It’s tension. It’s gruesome. It’s what we love about dark romance. 😈💜

Good Story, Great Performance!

You can't ever go wrong with duet style especially if performed with seasoned talents like Meg Silvan and James Joseph 😍 I loved all his accents! This was a forced marriage mafioso title - you get what was promised, but to be honest this was just one more in the genre; it was good for what it was, but by the time I finish this review I won't think about it much.

3.75 starz - worthy of a repeat listen; I won't listen again
