Publisher's summary

Everyone has secrets.

Escaping the clutches of a mobster, art forger Harley Davis dives off a yacht in the middle of the night and swims ashore to Sunset Cove, a small town in the Pacific Northwest, where the only light she sees comes from inside a haunted teahouse. Soaking wet and shaking, she pauses at the door. No one in their right mind would enter such a creepy place, but she has no choice. She needs to hide.

Pirate ghost Three-Sheets enjoys his extended life on Earth, gambling and flirting with the ladies, but when he meets Harley, he discovers he wants more out of death than a good gambling hand.

As the charming Three Sheets woos Harley, her former boss puts a contract on her head. What do you get when you mix a saucy thief, a pirate ghost and an angry godfather? Another fun, Gambling Ghost story.

Confessions of a Pirate Ghost

Jo-Ann Carson has written an enjoyable little novella. I loved the interactions between the living and the ghosts. I just wish it were a little longer... I’d love to hear more about the ghost characters!

I really enjoyed the dual narration. Both narrators did a great job with their respective parts and they meshed perfectly.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

PIRATES, TREASURE AND GHOSTS.

l enjoyed this entertaining story, l do enjoy Jo-ann Carsons books. l also like that the male voices were done by a male, that definitely was a bonus. While the female narrator had a beautiful voice and read perfectly.

I love this series!

My third read from author Jo-Ann Carson was hauntingly sweet with characters you love. Owning both the Kindle & Audible versions I was able to follow along while being read to. Narrators Lisa Reichart & Darren Pollock added greatly to the book's enjoyment.

A fluffy romantic comedy

I am a pushover for ghost romances, so I gave this one a try. It is very tame in the romance department and is probably PG-13 in the action scenes department. The plot was reasonably good. I was a little disappointed in how much of a minor role the friendly pirate named Three Sheets received because he is such a cool character. The heroine was somewhat likable but her immoral views on forgery bothered me a bit. I adore the tea house by the sea and the motley, funny collection of ghosts that call the tea house home. The action/suspense scenes were fairly good but could use a little more intensity. I quite enjoyed the sense of humor that permeates this short audiobook.

I give the narration 4 stars because the male narrator did a fantastic 5-star job, but I give the female narrator 3 stars. The male narrator did all of the dialogue for the male characters, and he was fantastic: humorous, sexy, adorable, dastardly, and everything I could ask for. However, the female narrator always sounded like a Midwestern 70-year-old grandma when most of the time she was portraying a twenty-something jet-setting young American lady who forges art for a living. The narrator’s voice was all wrong for the part. She did sound fine as the old lady who owns the tea house. Due to my dislike of the female narrator, I think that I will read the rest of the series as an ebook instead of an audiobook.

Cute story

Cute story, but I ran into sound editing problems. The split narration was also not what I'm accustomed to hearing.

A quick, fun, not typical,or scary, ghost story!

This author has added another great book to this ghost series. Like the lead males in the other books, you have a sexy ghost ,who was a very fearsome pirate in his day, according to rumour. It is amazing how the author can take these quirky characters in an unlikely setting for romance and turn them into a fun filled, delightful story. Having a good book like this, read to you by a good narrator, is a good way to spend some time.
