  • Summary

  • Now that Jeffrey is dead, Ghislaine potentially holds the answers to questions about Jeffrey’s sexual misdeeds, about the existence of his alleged compromising videos of rich and powerful, and about the fate of his hundreds of millions of dollars. If she knows the answers and talks, she could make it easier on herself in terms of jail time, but what she says could also put her in mortal danger. And no one should underestimate the Maxwell’s penchant for a good fight. This is only the beginning.

Compelling Story Telling

Very compelling storytelling that thoroughly explains everything from Vicki‘s point of view. I learned things from this podcast that had not been discussed in detail before. Highly recommend.

Great Podcast - Many Unanswered Questions

This is a great podcast series which provides a lot of information that I was not aware of. It left me wanting more, because there are so many unanswered questions that we may never know the answers to. I am now anticipating the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell in the fall, as a more informed member of the public.

Brave Vicky Ward

This podcast shows how reporting the truth can be smashed, pushed to the bottom, threatening, down right scary when powerful people come to the surface & they wish to hide. Excellent job Ms. Ward!

Not what I was expecting

The story was not what I was expecting. I feel that Vicky should had remove herself from the Epstein story, once she knew Gislane was in Jeffrey’s inner circle. she wants to be impartial to Gislane but the victims are at center stage and Vicky cannot just write about “the man in power” and not focus on the victims who are trying to bring them down. Also, she is too nice to Vanity Fair and her editor, he sold Vicky out and she didnt defend herself, protect the story and her sources and lost the trust on the 1st Victim who came to her. I understand it was a different time, but I feel theres due diligence missing from this reporting

Good story informative.

All in all a very informative listen really gets you into the world of the well to do. Biggest problem I had with it was the lag between episodes, could be much smoother. worth a listen for sure .

Fascinating Story on a Whole Other Level

This podcast is based on 20 years of research and reporting by Vicky Ward. Ms. Ward's initial 'easy' assignment was to write about Jeffrey Epstein for Vanity Fair magazine back in 2002 as she awaited the birth of her twins. Ward was trying to find out how Epstein who came from modest means in Brooklyn, and had no formal education had rapidly accumulated vast wealth along with mysterious connections to rich and powerful people not just in the US, but worldwide.
People like Ghislaine Maxwell daughter of Robert Maxwell a UK media mogul- and how Ghislaine's years in Epstein's life as his girlfriend/best friend have essentially destroyed her otherwise seemingly charmed life. Ghislaine was involved, but just how involved remains somewhat unclear since she's not talking to prosecutors, nor anyone else.
In 2002 where the reporting begins the now well known sorrid sex trafficking claims hadn't yet come out, but Ms. Ward uncovered two claims of abuse. Which was just the tip of the iceberg.
Through each episode of the podcast the entire complicated story (one Epstein himself very much wanted to keep quiet) gets pieced together, and it's quite astounding what a conniving, duplicitous person Jeffrey Epstein was. He was grifting on a grand scale, but somehow maintaining a reputation that camouflaged it all.
The entire story is far more complicated, fascinating and horrible than I had ever thought.
I binged the entire podcast series in two days. Really credit to Vicky Ward for her outstanding job uncovering the truth and putting together so many pieces of this utterly complex story. It took many years to do so, and questions still remain since Epstein died and Ghislaine is incarcerated.
Absolutely worth your time to listen!

Both fascinating and disgusting…

The listener gets a earful of the depth of corruption, greed, and perversion that Jeffrey Epstein and his enablers got away with. Or, did they? Will those rich enablers be called to answer and pay the price for the damage that was done to so many….
