Wry, dry, and arch, this production of Lewis Carroll's classic tale of a fall through a rabbit hole to a fantasy world is otherwise just as familiar as ever. After a century and a half, Alice's adventure in Wonderland, one of the finest examples of literary nonsense, continues to attract listeners.
Fascinating to hear the old text without the distraction of pictures! And who could have envisioned back then that we could listen to this while at the gym, or *what's a subway*? I like the ponderous way that Chekijian narrates this one, as this allows the listener to enjoy the flights of fancy so much more!
