A relaxing listen

It was a good story. The main weakness is that this very much is a slice of life with only a little bit of conflict. This is a common problem with some light novels, but the characters manage to help the story stay interesting. We will have to see how later books change and add conflict/drama. I shall look forward to seeing that.

Love the Anime and Book

It's a nice slice of life story with slimes. Now that we are past the first volume the speech pattern is better though I liked Jon Vertullo performed better. I think Jon did a better job with the distinction between female voice and character distinction. It is a little hard for me at times to figure out who is talking with Ray as the narrative especially between the other two beastkin female characters. Ray isn't bad but I just preferred Jon better.

Slice of life with slimes

An easy listen, slice of life story. Not a lot of conflict, but that’s honestly a nice change of pace in my opinion. It’s often really jarring to have a new narrator in a series, but Ray is fairly consistent which can’t have been easy! The switch wasn’t as disruptive as I feared. An easy, enjoyable listen. Looking forward to the next installment!

good story

The plot is alright thought the new reader uses the same voice making it hard to realize who is talking sometime, I also feel he's using less energy than the previous reader

Just as good as the light novel

I have been following this series for over 2 years now. From the light novel to the anime adaptation, now as an audio books I never get bored of this story no matter which medium they come from.

A good series continues! Just what I was waiting for!

The overpowered hero learns to interact with other people. Every day brings a new slime to interact with and study, What more will the Gods spring upon him?

Exceedingly Dull

If you are going to write a slice of life novel, the life you are chronicling needs to be interesting, or the characters need to be interesting. Unfortunately, the main character is a bland Mary Sue with no real character flaws and no real struggles, so it would be up to the other characters or the situation to add tension, but the other characters are just as dull and the situation amounts to following someone as he shops, cleans poop, and starts to make a laundromat - all with some handwaving magic. It's all very dull. The stiff translation and uninspired reading does little to help.
