Publisher's Summary

This audio reference book provides clear answers to commonly asked questions about the most pressing issues in education today. Standards and standardized tests, writing and student achievement, accountability systems, interventions for under-performing students, standards and the arts, motivation, leadership issues, plus many more topics are addressed in this handbook for educators.

Dr. Reeves clearly articulates responses to questions he has received over the years during teacher workshops and national presentations, while facilitating K-12 accountability task force meetings and working with students in the classroom, and as the Test Doctor on the Internet. This audiobook is a helpful reference for understanding the issues and improving communication among teachers, parents, students, and all stakeholders in school communities.

Should Be a Standard for Audio to Prevent This

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

No real way to redeem this. Perhaps a Q&A PDF if anything.

What could Douglas B. Reeves have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Listen to it themselves and see that the pain didn't justify a potential reward.

Would you be willing to try another one of Douglas B. Reeves and Jesse Smith ’s performances?

Not narrated like this.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from 101 Questions & Answers About Standards, Assessment, and Accountability?

Everything between page one and wherever it ended.

Any additional comments?

Avoid this.

Excellent!

This book is highly readable and answers questions in ways parents, teachers, and even older (high school) students can understand. If you are a school administrator, this should be required reading.

Not so drawn out

What was most disappointing about Douglas B. Reeves’s story?

really very dry

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Douglas B. Reeves and Jesse Smith ?

I really don't know, a more consise booke would work better

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Fell a sleep
