Publisher's summary

A poignant and sincere memoir about a klutz's sex change, Bumbling into Body Hair shows how a sense of humor, along with true love, can triumph over the magnitude of the life changes one experiences transitioning. Maroon found himself faced with bathroom drama, hair disasters, resurrected breasts, and crippling self-doubt, but his acceptance of being a transman can be an inspiration to anyone, of any gender.

All the things we want to know...

Which scene was your favorite?

The wedding. Everett came full circle.
Not favorite? I cried over Ulysses and Sebastian.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did. Didn't do a single chore but by golly, I heard the whole story.!

Any additional comments?

I love that Everett gave his family the time they needed to grieve the loss of Jennifer. It's painful to know you must say goodbye to your own perception of who someone was to you, yourself. So no, he was not the same person inside. He was still there but his old self was replaced by a new man-hence the need to embrace the steps of grief. I love that this book is narrated in a matter-of-fact way. I have tried to listen to others on the same subject and haven't heard a single word outside of the flamboyant, outrageous, and name-dropping drama. So thank you. I needed to hear this relayed with dignity and realism. The way it really is, feelings about every aspect included no matter how challenging.
