Publisher's summary

Learn how Buddhism, the fourth largest religion in the world, can help you deal better with suffering and also improve your mental capabilities like focus, empathy, etc.

The truth is that everyone faces personal struggle as they navigate through life. It’s just inevitable. To not expect obstacles or suffering is as naive as not preparing for them. But what preparation can we do to deal with suffering? This is not exactly a new question we’re asking here. Eastern religion and spirituality have been providing us with many solutions for ages. Reputedly the most practical and widespread of them is Buddhism. Considered to be the most scientific religion currently in existence, Buddhism gives us tools and techniques to manage ourselves better in the face of adversity. It attempts to bring us back in touch with reality and stay present in our experiences.

“Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.” (Gautama Buddha)

Promoting values like non-violence and peace while not identifying a supreme being or God, Buddhism currently has over 360 million followers all over the world. Due to its emphasis on practical techniques for self growth such as meditation, community, etc., some people believe that Buddhism is more of a psychology than a religion. Nevertheless, it has helped millions of people with their personal problems like stress, anxiety, depression, etc.

“If there is any religion that would cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.” (Albert Einstein)

In this audiobook, Buddhist monk and mindfulness teacher Dharma Hazari gives you the essence of Buddhism and how you can gain practical value from it in your day-to-day life.

informative

This audiobook has a lot of information delivered in a way that is not conflicting between various buddhist sects, traditions, etc.

Fantastic journey

I have always been interested in Buddhism but have been hesitant of to learn about it. Mainly because I don't follow or believe in most religious practices. However, listening to this book and how it is written it has inspired me to learn more and to possibly take up its practices. It gives you a nice understanding of Buddhism and does not weigh you down with terms that are not explained to you. I listen to this as much as I can and repeat chapters because the message is so well done. I encourage anyone reading this review to give this book a chance. I don't think you will be disappointed at all. Personal note. Thank you Dharma Hazari for presenting a path.

Good simplistic insight

This is for 4th graders. Good insight into Buddha , but I recommend it to children
