Great story

It’s set in 1983 and I had to keep reminding myself of that. Everything Devny Perry writes is gold (pun intended). It was romance with a touch of thriller in there.

Fresh Start in Small Town, Mystery Romance ❤️🕵️❤️

Ilsa Poe (MFC) Single high school math teacher, recently relocated to Montana from sunny and warm Arizona, to deal with her recently deceased father’s, Ike, estate. It’s been twenty years since she’s been in Montana during the winter and she’s shocked at the extreme cold.
Cosi Raynes (MMC) Single father, Small Town Sheriff in Dalton, Montana. He is both the Sheriff and the Coroner in the small town and soon finds himself getting to know Ilsa very well and is very attracted to her.

With a veiled threat against Ilsa, Cosi is determined to keep her safe and brings her to his home to stay while he’s trying to solve the mystery surrounding her and her father’s cabin.

This was an absolutely wonderful story, perfect romance and level of mystery and the author wrapped it up with a guaranteed hea ❤️❤️

Such a great book to kickoff my 2026 year

I really enjoyed this book. Definitely one of my favorite authors. Can’t wait to read her next book.
