So underwhelming

Instant attraction usually doesn’t bother me if I understand later, the root of the infatuation . But because we don’t have the mmc’s pov or substantial comments about the fmc The relationship was weird to me. They legitimately had a 3 second interaction then she runs away from him and apparently he’s obsessed. I was so confused. Then I understand we’re in a prison a lot is going on, but the characters felt so flat and two dimensional. Personalities got buried in the plot.

our book club read this! i loved the character development & range of characters age/ personality! scenes were easy to imagine. excited for book two!

Loved it

I went into this book with no expectations and completely blind and it did not disappoint! I was on the edge of my seat and interested throughout the entire book! Can’t wait for number 2!

The romance is killed by the narrators voice

I hate to be negative, but unfortunately, Vail, he’s ruined by this narrator, making himself nasally and whiny. It was hard to get on board with their romance. I will probably avoid this narrator in the future.

Fantastic dystopian

This was so refreshing. I loved the story and can’t wait to read the next book. It’s hunger games meets prison break in this devastatingly beautiful binge worthy world. The narrator did an amazing job with this story, I was captivated from beginning to end.
