Good Read

Loved the narration. The story kept my attention and was a nice break from the psycho-thrillers. I enjoyed the book overall and enjoyed the pace. The characters were developed well and I enjoyed the twist with Ava's biological mom.

Really, loved this book would definitely recommend. Heartfelt, love, compassion and endurance. The characters were believable.

The love of Gabriel and Kierra

I love this book. It was sssssooooooo good. Brittiany can write a book. It had a great plot and story line.

Heartbreaking yet real!

This was a great story! This was my first time listening to something from this author. However, the way she built up the characters was excellent. This love story was real. Filled with heartbreak, passion, and LOVE! Trigger warning as it does go into detail with DV.

I cannot put this book down! He gave me all the emotion and even when I got mad I still want to keep going. Beautifully written, and I love the narrators

This was a heavy emotional story. The sad truth is this is alot of someone's reality. Excellent narration.

Well written

This book was heartbreaking but so well written. The author was truly able to keep you engaged and make you feel for the characters and the challenges they faced. The narrators were excellent! Highly recommend!

A beautiful tragedy

This was my first book of this author and I’m surprisingly pleased. This was such a beautiful story, sad but a lovely story. I’m so glad she got her happy ending. But it was so hard listening to her pain and the DV she went through and not want to fight for her or she fight back. I just kept thinking please just snap. But all in all I still enjoyed the listen and it was beautiful narrative.

I enjoyed the storyline. I was holding my breath with the ending but was pleased.

Great Love Story

I loved Gabriel throughout the novel, but Keaira….I didn’t dislike her, but I wasn’t in love with her. She never really seemed to stand up for herself, Gabriel was always coming to her rescue. She was timid the entire book. I don’t mind a damsel in distress story but from beginning to end was a lot for ME. I like to see characters evolve especially when we get to toggle back and forth between the past and present. The DV was hard to stomach bc you know there are ppl who have gone through this very situation. The imagery was very vivid. Although, I said she never stood up for herself, I in no shape, form or fashion condone Henry’s behavior. I did find it odd her choice of career yet she didn’t/couldn’t pick up on the red flags in her own husband. She didn’t see how Ava could be process the situation in more than one way. Everything had to be told to her. From her client, to Gabriel, her boss, her daughter, her MIL. Overall, the book was a good listen. I loved both narrators, they really brought the story to life.
