Publisher's summary

Marking a significant departure from Noah Cicero's fictional and poetic works, Blood-Soaked Buddha/Hard Earth Pascal is a lucid philosophical treatise. Rather than entertain dogma, Cicero approaches a discussion of Buddhism from the refreshing perspective of the everyman, providing a profound spiritual analysis as well as a sharp critique of capitalism. There are even some pretty good ghost stories.

"Buddhism isn't for scholars and priests and masters. It's not a religion. It's for anyone who wants to find a better way. It's practical, it's logical, it's sensible and it's real. Just like this book."

"Far too many books about Buddhism get bogged down in scholarly doublespeak. Others are full of far-fetched fantasies. Noah's book isn't like that. It's a real book for real people." (Brad Warner, author of Hardcore Zen)

Clear & Concise

Gutsy. A simple book on the Buddhist idea for all of us. You don’t need to be an intellectual to understand it......only a yearning to be a better human being. It is well worth your time.

I think this book changed my life

Sara Morsey did a great read of this super entertaining, yet profound book on every day Buddhism. Not to sound dramatic, but it may have changed my life. Give it a shot.

Best book on Buddhism I've read

Huge fan of Noah Cicero, but this book is a life-changer. Buddhist thought can help everyone lead a more relaxed, thoughtful life. Great reading by Sara Morsey too.

Buddhism For Dummies

Any additional comments?

I found this to be extremely enlightening. The author breaks down the basics of Buddhism in a very modern way that's not at all preachy, but rather refreshing and relatable. So many little nuggets of wisdom in this audiobook. I can't recommend it highly enough.
