In his book The Inspired Heart: An Artist's Journey of Transformation, Jerry Wennstrom tells the extraordinary story of his daring exploration into the source of his creativity. He tells of a life lived by the singular requirement of Grace - to remain fearlessly attuned to the heart. The Inspired Heart has a foreword by Care of the Soul author Thomas Moore.
I purchased this title after listening to an interview given by it's author, Jerry Wennstrom. The book takes the form of a series of short stories from the authors life, that all come together to tell his amazing story. I really liked this format, because it is easy to just listen to one story, then come back and listen to another.
The narration comes from the author himself, which I loved. It is easy to follow, and there is nothing like listening to someone tell their own personal story - the emotion and nuance come through in the narrators voice.
The story itself is beautiful and inspiring. I felt encouraged to bring more beauty, serendipity, and trust into my own life after listening to these tales. There is a sense of humility, wonder, and love that comes across to the listener.

What would have made The Inspired Heart better?
A proper narrator. I think the story is quite interesting but the story telling is so dreary it's almost unlistenable to.
