Publisher's summary

You know him from the hit A&E show Duck Dynasty - now you can enjoy Uncle Si's tall tales, crazy exploits, and quirky one-liners in one raucous collection!

"These hands are so fast, I can get your wallet before you know it. In a minute, you'll be standing there buck naked and won't know what hit you!"

"Look here - if it wasn't for my tripped knee, I'd be playing in the NBA today."

"Hey, Jack!"

Any of these sound familiar? If they do - or even if they don't - you're in for a good laugh. The brother of patriarch Phil Robertson, Uncle Si has a limitless supply of stories about his childhood, duck hunting adventures, his days in Vietnam, and everything in between. Now the best of those tales are gathered into this roaring collection.

Si shares stories of the more than 25 marriage proposals he's received in the mail (some with photos!), how he came to use a green Tupperware cup for his ever-present sweet tea, and how his cigarette smoke made a deer cough (he's since quit smoking). And in many of these never-before-heard tales, Si openly talks about his wife and two children - who are never seen and rarely mentioned on the show.

Si's one-liners are sure to please die-hard fans and curious newbies alike. In no time, this smattering of zany stories will have you falling over with laughter and retelling them to all your friends.

I loved my fav uncle in this book

Would you consider the audio edition of Si-cology 1 to be better than the print version?

I liked it better because parts of the book were read by the author, which has an accent that adds to the story. I wish Si would have read the whole book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It is very funny!

Fun Read

I enjoyed the book, and hearing about his life. Honestly speaking, him and his family aren’t exactly the dumb hicks they portray themselves as, and are a great group of people. Fascinating and fun read.

My only complaint would be the reader. Takes a bit to get used to, but captures Si’s cadence well. A shame it wasn’t ready by him! Can’t fault the reader for that

Laugh all the Way to Work and Back

Any additional comments?

Excellent book with great stories especially if you were raised in the South. Nephew is good but wish Si spoke through the whole book. Hearing him tell the stories would have made this book superb!

a good read

Would you listen to Si-cology 1 again? Why?

Yes I will. I started this book at 10pm and 4 hours later I finished it. Good solid reading. Family values come thruout. I could relate to so much since I was raised on a farm outside Sweet Home Tx in the 40s and 50s. We had and still have strong family values. Thanks for a great book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Si. Just because he's a good guy and his wife should be declared a sain r.

Have you listened to any of Si Robertson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Learned more about what makes Si tick

If you could sum up Si-cology 1 in three words, what would they be?

Love Si

Who was your favorite character and why?

Si of course

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Yes, Jase was a bit difficult to listen to so I listened in shorter spurts than I did Happy Happy Happy. I like Jase but as a good narrator, not so much.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No way could I have done that, best to listen in small does

Any additional comments?

Great to learn what made Si the man he is. He was much more grounded throughout his life than Phil. The Viet Nam stories were OK but what did it for me the most was the ending where Si told us about his faith. The letters from his darling dear wife was so touching. Also the letters from his kids. I commend Si for keeping his kids and wife off of Duck Dynasty, allows them to maintain their privacy. Si is someone I would love to know in person, what a wonderful man and his silliness and HEY just adds so much to his personality, that all came out in the book. Carry on Si.

Would not have imagined

Google faith and you’ll find something like “Blind Belief”
I never would have imagined that this book would have so much Faith in it.

Enjoyable read

This is a fun read once you get used to the way they talk. I even laughed out loud a couple of times during the book.
