Good for the soul

I am an active member of the LDS church. I am an avid Audible listener and I don’t review books often. I got this book on sale with no knowledge of Al or her story.
I was moved by this book. Al did a great job narrating her own work. She is passionate and that is often felt.
One of the many messages I took away was that if we want to test our faith we can best do that by increasing our faithful actions NOT by being unfaithful. (And if you listened to the 10x rule by Grant Cardone that principal is expressed in a different context- and he is not even LDS-crazy I know).
So congratulations to Al for a book that inspired me to be better, to increase my faithful actions and to trust more fully the God in whom I believe.
I will be sharing this with my family and friends and recommending it. I think it will have a positive influence in their lives.
If you want to surround yourself with good and positive things this should be part of your library.

Remarkable Young Lady

I first 'met' Al through her videos and blog several years ago. I love(d) her energy and passion for life. I too have felt and endured opinions and judgments of so many who should have known (and we're probably taught) better. The result has been, I suppose like Al, to push me closer in my relationship to my Heavenly Father and to my Savior. If their actions, my actions and my health challenges have resulted in that better and closer relationship... then with a smile and happy heart I'm all in. Thanks Al! God bless in all you do.

An Amazing Book of Sincerity

I loved this book. Al Carraway is so genuine in her message and love for mankind. She moved my heart many times as she spoke of life. I definitely am a bit envious of how her life in 8 years has changed and moved in the direction of more happiness. If you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints this a must listen. Hearing Al speak about her conversion and the faith is just motivational. If you are not a member of the Church you will feel a strong testimony of a very passionate young woman who deeply cares for others and her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Love this testimony of conversion.

As a tattooed Mormon convert myself, I love this. Al's story tells it all as it really is. The first meeting with the missionaries, the excitement of being a new member, the stares when people see you as different, the joy of the Temple... This book is amazing, Al if you hadn't written this, I wish I would have. Great narration and story flow on the audiobook as well. Good luck to you Al, Thank you for sharing your story. For all those looking to read this, it is a great look into the life of the not so A typical Mormon. As members of any church we grow and learn the same message but we all start from different beginnings, This story covers what it is like to join the LDS Church and maybe not so much fit the mold. Read it already, you will love it!
