Way more than I expected! Over delivered!

So I Pre-ordered this book A WHILE BACK... When Yvonne initially announced it on the Jesus and Jollof Podcast. Then some time later I got an email from Amazon/Audible saying they were refunding me my money. I was completely taken aback... Is the book still happening? What happened? To be honest I was disappointed because I was looking forward to it. Now fast forward 2021 I see something about the book being available again for Pre-order. I was so excited I ordered it again and prayed that this time, it actually comes out. I got my email about the book late Monday night, the day before the official launch.

I started listening it and I loved it! Yvonne weaved her story with genuineness, vulnerability, jokes!!, a dash of Naija (Nigeria), and most importantly the Good Book! 🙂

Thank you Yvonne for being obedient to God in delivering this! Like you say in your book, you have no idea how many people are waiting on you so they can also trust/act.

I’ll also be getting the physical book because this is something one has to read from time to time as a reminder.

It was okay

I have enjoyed Yvonne’s work on Insecure and her comedy special. So I was excited to get her book to learn more about her personal story. While I do believe in a higher power, I found myself fast forwarding through the Bible quotes and mini sermons after each personal story. They just became incessant and made the story feel disjointed

Your True Calling Awaits You!!!

I'm sending Yvonne a tilth because this was the best down to earth guide I have listed to in a long time. I was going to call into work today, but Amazon sent me a text saying this audiobook was available today. So instead of calling in, I ate a hand full of organic dark chocolate chunks then pressed pay on this book (and worked). This book really made me look at my purpose in life, which I have ignored for far too long. Yvonne you absolutely nailed it with this book!!!

Words are powerful and you have such amazing insight on how to live your best life with GOD! First, Congratulations on getting Bamboozled by Jesus! I hope to continue my journey in life getting Bamboozled by Jesus as well. Not just for success but to touch another person who needs encouragement that does not realize they are not invisible but necessary in this world we call life. Secondly, anyone that is still reading my opinions about this literary novelty, you will get your entire life reading this book. I am talking quiet conversations with God to tears of joy for things that shall too past and things that have yet to come. Finally, I am grateful to have an opportunity to listen to Ms. Orji provide her own life in such a down-to-earth candid way that made me feel like I was having a conversation with one of my girlfriends. Ok, just listen or read this book and find answers that GOD is trying to reveal to you and pick up lessons learned to be a better version of you! That is all :)

Perfectly Blended

Yvonne is truly amazing at blending scripture into a digestible modern day relatable format. If you are not a Christian you don’t feel beat over the head with dogma. Through her honest descriptions of how her relationship with her religion impacts her decision making process I was left inspired.
The advice is easily adapted to suit. If you read self help books you know they’re more like work books and can sometimes be intimidating my leaving you feeling like you have to set aside time to work through the exercises before you can start changing your life. In this book Yvonne lays out really simple approaches to positively change your mindset to dream a larger dream no matter what you believe. Well done!

A Great reminder of God's Riches

The narration of the book by the author was a plus. Yvonne gave jokes but solid encouragement to have faith and trust God while manifesting your dreams. Definitely a book worth reading.
