Publisher's Summary

From the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, an inspiring account of the transformation of an organisation and the coming transformation of humanity.

As told by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Hit Refresh is the story of corporate change and reinvention as well as the story of Nadella's personal journey, one that is taking place today inside a storied technology company, and one that is coming in all of our lives as intelligent machines become more ambient and more ubiquitous. It's about how people, organisations and societies can and must hit refresh - transform - in their persistent quest for new energy, new ideas, relevance and renewal.

At the core it's about us humans and our unique qualities, like empathy, which will become ever more valuable in a world where the torrent of technology will disrupt like never before. As much a humanist as a technologist, Nadella defines his mission and that of the company he leads as empowering every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more.

Great and thought-inspiring book

A great view into the mind of the person driving a great cultural transformation in one of the largest tech companies. Not only his thoughts are applicable for businesses, but also can be related to from personal life perspective.

The narrator was easy to listen, and it was great to hear Satya himself too.

Overall, I'm glad I've read/heard the book.

Refreshingly candid!

A genuine account of the road travelled so far by CEO Satya Nadella. No buzz words, no rhetoric and in no way a statement that his quest here is complete. A thoroughly enjoyable listen and an insight into the man at the helm of Microsoft - overseeing 100,000 employees spread across 190 countries. An honest, family man with relatable core values and empathy at the heart of everything he does... empowering every person and every organisation on the planet to do more.

A very human voice from the world of technology

Some will value every page of this book, but there’s more than enough variety of content to interest every reader at least in part. Policy makers and business leaders might want to read the latter chapters sooner rather than later!

Good insight to the new Microsoft.

Some great insights to how Microsoft has been transformed under the new CEO. it's worth also reading the 5 dysfunctions of a team, to understand what was being explained about working closer together.
The only negative is the later chapters turn into an advert rather than a vision of the future.

Lessons in Leadership

Satya’s new and absorbing book, “Hit Refresh”, provides a unique insight into one of the world's largest businesses as it seeks to transform its culture, mission and business approach. Such is Satya’s passion that the lessons of transformation provide much wisdom in the field of leadership, underpinned by one of the most integral of leadership traits, authenticity.

Inspiring

An inspiring and insightful account of his work. Though some part is very microsoft-centric. However, can be used to learn on how to refresh a company/corporation even one as big as Microsoft.
