Couldn't get into it..Totally MY bad!

I usually have excellent results following positive reviews by master reviewer Charles Atkinson...if you don'y follow him,do so.
Bino, however, simply didn't appeal to me-I couldn't get into the plot, and though narrator Joe Barrett can normally make a menu sound interesting, I fell asleep during Bino.

It's well written..but not my cup of tea. I only lasted thru 2 hours..and am sure it's my problem, not the author or narrator.

Just Like the Good Ol' Days in the Legal Scene

Would you consider the audio edition of Bino to be better than the print version?

Don't know; haven't read the print version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bino?

The scene when Bino was running down the street covered only in a towel!

Have you listened to any of Joe Barrett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, have listened to many of his performances in the Brian Freeman books. I really enjoy his voice. He does a great job of bringing the characters to life. This book is no exception!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed many times, rooted for the good guys, and felt sad at times.

Any additional comments?

Another listener recommended this books in a review. I wish I could remember who it was, because I'd like to thank him or her. The first of this series is excellent, and hit home for me, because I live in Dallas and spent my working life employed as a secretary/assistant to lawyers like Bino. It was fun to revisit the 80's Dallas legal scene and recall what times were like in Dallas, especially the singles scene. We did some serious partying back then. My bosses were often passionate about the law, and so was I, though we practiced civil, not criminal law. I thoroughly enjoyed Bino and can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.

Bino is Sharp and Funny, Buy This Now

This is an older series that is brand new new to Audible. What a coup! Bino, short for Albino, is a country lawyer in a big city. He's called Bino because he's a former white forward/center for SMU. He grew up poor, but parlayed his height and hook shot into a law career.

He's a Democrat, (I'm not so don't let that sway you), in a Republican world, with a bookie for a P.I. and an ex stripper for an assistant. His law practice delivers non stop laughter while remaining legitimate.

This is a great story with great characters and a really good mystery as well. Joe Barrett is wonderful as the narrator. I'm going for the next in line, this one was so good. It appears they released them all at once!
