It was somewhat helpful
It sure makes big promises right at the beginning of how you will stop binge eating after listening to this book. After hearing the whole thing, I did get some tips out of it but I don't think I will stop. I'm going to try but his idea of not following a "diet" or calorie counting is somehow going to stop you from binge eating doesn't make sense. Me watching my carbs and counting my calories has helped me lose 170 pounds. Just within the past few months I have gone back to binge eating after over 9 months of not doing it. I feel like maybe some things will help control it but at this point I'm not willing to risk gaining all my weight back in the hopes I'll be able to eat every food I want by just paying closer attention to what I am eating. For me eating burgers and fries every meal doesn't work and just telling myself to not see them as "bad" foods will not work. I think it's an ok book but I guess it's up to the reader what they take from this.

It's alright. ai quit about half way in cause it was all stuff I've already heard. Everyone is complaining about the narration. I actually enjoyed it because Inimagined it was a character from the Simpsons. 🤣 Probably Reverand Lovejoy.

Worst narration ever
I couldn't even get through Chapter 4 of this book. The narration makes it unlistenable. For a serious topic, the tone of the narration is best described as over-animated, snarky game show announcer, and he gets extra badly animated in Chapter 3. It is such a drastically wrong tone for a book about a serious topic. I honestly feel bad for the author because it may very well be a good book, but in my opinion completely unlistenable. I don't know the process for how narrators are chosen, but if the author has a day, I hope they choose differently next time. And there are a lot of things perfect for this narrator. This is not one of them.

Some useful information but a lot irrelevant
This has a lot of stories on eating disorders that you have to work through before you get to before getting to anything of practical use. I can see that it would be useful for some people but for me it didn't do very much.

Clear information
The author provides a lot of clear information about how one develops binge eating so that one can gain a better understanding of their behaviors. I highly, highly recommend it. It has helped me so much!

Well Done Mr. Daron McClain
I got this book to learn more about treating Bulimia. It provides a really base of psycho education, as well as, providing a good outline on how to implement the CBT-ED protocol established by Daron McClain .

Simply amazing!
Each chapter has an amazingly relatable story joined with a journaling exercise, thought, or breathwork practice that helped me connect to myself in a way I had yet to encounter, until now. I feel like I'm finally home.
