It sure makes big promises right at the beginning of how you will stop binge eating after listening to this book. After hearing the whole thing, I did get some tips out of it but I don't think I will stop. I'm going to try but his idea of not following a "diet" or calorie counting is somehow going to stop you from binge eating doesn't make sense. Me watching my carbs and counting my calories has helped me lose 170 pounds. Just within the past few months I have gone back to binge eating after over 9 months of not doing it. I feel like maybe some things will help control it but at this point I'm not willing to risk gaining all my weight back in the hopes I'll be able to eat every food I want by just paying closer attention to what I am eating. For me eating burgers and fries every meal doesn't work and just telling myself to not see them as "bad" foods will not work. I think it's an ok book but I guess it's up to the reader what they take from this.

I especially like the chapter on body image, and a sense of over importance on body weight defining personal value.

I thought the audiobook was interesting. However, that kind of approach to food would not work for me. The audiobook encouraged me, though, to look at why I was bingeing.
