Decisions made in the heat of the moment have connected Shai and Heavy for life. It will be up to them to decide how smooth that connection will be. Many other factors come into play, but in the end, Heavy may just have to accept that where Shai is concerned, his only reality is quite simply summed up in one sentence - "I’m Too Hood for You".

Publisher's Summary
Donovan Barron, aka Young, is Southside to the heart, and nothing can change that, not even an NBA career. Refusing to conform has led to Young being dubbed as "Atlanta's Bad Boy". Living lowkey and making money are his only priorities until he is forced to switch it up.
Stony Dorrian refuses to let anyone tell her how to live her life any longer! For too long, she has allowed her parents to control everything in her life, including her relationship with her boyfriend, Dallas. Officially fed up, a chance meeting allows Stony to live a carefree for once, and it just might change her life forever.
A few chance meetings between Stony and Young turn their worlds upside down and force the two strangers to become closer than they ever imagined. The odds are definitely against these two as they navigate through life together.
Drama plagues the new couple and just might be enough to end their relationship before it even starts. When secrets are exposed Stony and Young may find that it's just too much and not worth it. Will these two survive everything that life throws at them, or will the drama succeed in breaking up the newfound couple?

A Bit Undeveloped
The truth is I did enjoy this story....I really believe the story would have been much better with more developed characters and better narrators....These two (2) couples (the main couple & their friends) were immediately attracted to one another and as tough as these rich men were, they both were committed to taking care of the new women in their lives. To me there was a lot of undeveloped parts of this story...but I really did understand and enjoy the direction the author was attempting to take us in. As far as the narrators, at times it was difficult to distinguish between the various characters in the scenes. I also think that both narrators had a difficult time pulling off the opposite sex's voice. However, I do believe with more time with narrating, thing will become better with the two of them...

Just OK
So I just finished and after hearing "The End" I should have felt something after almost 13 hours of a book... But, I didn't. It is my first time with this authors work and while the story wasn't bad, it could have been summed up many hours ago. Also the female narrator wasn't good- all her voices sounded the same and I had a hard time following along with her two sided Ash and Stoney conversations because there were no real differentiators with the exception some minor "urban" inflection that started in the middle of the book. Plus she gave me weak female vibes so she wasn't believable at all when the characters tried to "boss up". Young's narration voice fit his character but Papa's voice sounded like a 70 year old on the verge of obesity- it was TERRIBLE. On a positive note, the epilogue closed out the book on a positive note so we understand how the characters ended up.

I liked that it was long. it was an entertaining story overall. I wouldn’t say it was the best i’ve ever read, but interesting enough. There was no real action. Just a story. it took me several days to get through it simply because it was interesting enough to keep me but I could put it down and be fine.

Ok Story
So the narrators were phenomenal! The book started off good but got boring. A bunch of repetitive scenarios...didn't keep me interested.
