Four for One pretty good

Want a long book/series to keep you entertained? The River is a good one. There were times that I zoned out while listening (in fairness can happen with any book) but I never found myself lost. Characters had some interesting arch’s and changes. Story was interesting, but maybe slightly rushed. Worth a listen.

good series

This is a good series. It keeps you interested and you start understanding all about the characters.

Interesting and Original

Took awhile to get started... the first book could have been a chapter to give the basic outline of required information for the baseline.... and I hate bugs.

Dumb ending premise.

No spoilers, but the ending was just dumb. The author must think their audience is just morons.

Fun story

This is a great series, I enjoyed the characters and the twists, I was glad it was able to come to a fun conclusion.

Fast paced, action packed with great smattering of mystery.

Not sure what took me so long to listen to this great series, but I remember seeing the art for the cover and thinking that looks good. Brought it from my wish list to reality. Very glad I did and sad that it’s over. I would highly recommend anybody who likes sci-fi even isakai adventures to listen.
Love it all the more because of the amazing bargain it was, 4 books for the price of one!
Now to explore other titles by this talented author.

Interesting story

This was a saga. The story was good. Complicated & made more so by the myriad of names of individuals & dozens of species. The first 2 books weren't too bad but by the fourth book the names were just a swirl.
The narrator improved with each book & was fairly good by the last one. The first book was monotone & each character sounded like the others.
Overall it was a fun listen & written without vulgarity or sex, while still having good relationships. I'd recommend it.

Great characters

Really great series, loved all the books. Great character builds. Narrator did wonderful job with each characters voice.

This author has a prolific imagination!

I don’t usually listen to science fiction, but this was more realistic than most I’ve read. Great story with perfect narration. It’s long but very good!

Narrator was excellent

The narrator was excellent and the story started out well and I enjoyed the first couple books, but by the last book I didn’t care that much about finishing. There were too many created characters of convenience to overcome story issues. Robots and clones created just to further an inept storyline.. The worst example is when Desmond’s daughter is told Desmond is her father and she goes oh well that explains why I can do this as a part of her body morph into something else.
