Teaming up with a goblin who treats the rules of alchemy as something to be staunchly ignored, his best friend Hannah, and a handful of sketchy oddballs, the malfunctioning assassin sets out to either capture a city that’s proven impossible to conquer, or burn the place to the ground—doing his best to avoid turning everyone he meets into a lifelong enemy.

No matter what happens, Jack’s gonna enjoy doing it.

good stuff. Great narration, engaging narrative. I want to know what happens next. Jack and Gideon need to fight.
