Masterpiece!

Emmy Sanders has done it again! I laughed, I cried, I loved. Writing characters that feel like family rather than fiction is always at the heart of Emmy’s books. I wouldn’t have changed a single word, I only with that I could read it again for the first time.

Swoon worthy childhood friends to lovers

Lawson is struggling to find his sexuality and dealing with his confusing feelings towards a childhood best friend.
Oakley has made a life for himself far away from Montana until one morning his best friend comes knocking on his door.
This story has a lot of humour, warm and fuzzy feelings, beautiful ace rep and of course Darling ranch chaos.
Kale did a great job with the audio.

A couple chapters too long

I loved finally getting Lawson's story but their story ended a couple chapters before the book did.

This one was a little different than the other two. The story was so good and the love that Law and Oakley had was so special. Law trying to figure out who he is at 43 and Oakley willing to do anything to help him. The whole story was spicy but in a good way. Their friendship turned relationship was amazing.

She did it again!

I swear to God that Emmy Sanders has pixie dust hidden somewhere and she brings it out whenever she writes a new book! That’s the only explanation for why ALL of her stories are so amazing. Besides the fact that she’s uber talented, of course 😆

I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful Lawson and Oakley are. They got their happy ending after waiting for so long.

I loved the way Emmy wrote Lawson’s struggles with his sexuality. How it wasn’t a one size fits all situation or that it needed a label. It took him a long time to figure it out but he finally went after what he really wanted, Oakley.

Oakley had loved Lawson for so long without any hopes of ever being reciprocated. He really tried his best to hide his feelings, but true love can’t be hidden and eventually Lawson realized how much Oakley loved him.

They were meant to be from the moment they made that promise when they were kids. They just needed to experience some things in order for them to be together.

I love how supportive both families are and how all they care about is their happiness. No angst stories are always my favorite.

I loved everything about this book and can’t wait for the next one. As always, Kale Williams did a fantastic job narrating.
