Junior high level. Shouldn’t have been recommended to me. It was a struggle but got through it.

An emotional cia family

These are fun books, always a little over-the-top, but Zero is a spy hero, so it's okay. It's also great that Maya is now holding her own and working hard. But to make Maya in charge at such a young age? I'm not feeling it. You can be awesome and train like crazy, but nothing is going to make up for experience. Nobody is going to put someone so young in charge of stopping nuclear meltdowns, or whatever.
Also, I feel like half of the book was spent on Zero and Maya being petty with each other. It was a little cringe. Maybe, after 15 books, it's time to do a series on Misha, who's super fun.
In the last couple of books, the language has gotten worse and worse. Lots of taking Lord's name in vain, f-bomb, etc.

A little too much, terrible language

No need for the Misha storyline. Nobody is going to buy a 15 year-old girl as an unbeatable agent.
