Mick Finlay was born in Glasgow and grew up in Canada, Connecticut, and England, where he now divides his time between Brighton and Cambridge. Mick teaches in a Psychology Department, and has published research on political violence, persuasion, and verbal and non-verbal behaviour. Before this, he worked in services for people with learning disabilities and in Psychology Departments in the NHS. He also ran a market stall on Portobello Road (London), was a butcher's boy, and spent time as a tent hand in a travelling circus. He writes historical crime fiction set in the 1890's in South London. 'Arrowood' was published in 2017. The sequel, 'The Murder Pit' is coming out in February, 2019 (N America), with a third book scheduled for 2020.
