A completely gripping and binge-worthy crime thriller

Tucked under her blanket, a teddy placed on the pillow beside her, the little girl could be sleeping. Madison’s blood runs cold as she stares at the crime scene. Not wanting to believe what she’s seeing, she vows to bring the child’s twisted killer to justice…

Detective Madison Harper is about to be the happiest woman in the world. As she walks down the aisle toward her fiancé Nate, a bouquet clasped in her hands, she can’t believe she’s finally getting to marry her soulmate. But before they can exchange vows, a shot echoes through the air and screams ring out. Someone drops to the ground in a pool of blood…

The next day, still dazed from the fallout, Madison is called to another crime scene. Local woman Denise and her young daughter Lucy have been found dead in their home. Dressed in yellow pajamas, the little girl is on her stomach, her face hidden by her fine blonde hair. Her mother lies still down the hall, as if resting. What kind of monster would do this?

With two potential killers on the loose in a town reeling with shock, Madison receives a threat from the wedding shooter which turns the entire case upside down. With time running out before another life is lost, can she get justice for the victims and stop two cold-blooded killers in their tracks?

An absolutely gripping listen packed with heart-stopping twists! Perfect for fans of Lisa Regan, Melinda Leigh and Kendra Elliot.

Twists right up to the very last minute- then every little detail falls into perfect place! I am looking forward to the final book! This narrator is very difficult to listen to, but I was too invested in the series to stop listening!

Another great story line!

Love the story and series. I prefer the other voice over vs this one. No disrespect just a preference.

Another good one!

I have really enjoyed the Detective Madison Harper series and have loved all the twists and turns the author has woven into each book. The stories kept me guessing and wanting to start the next one immediately.
My only disappointment has been the constant narrator changes. By the third narrator, I almost gave up on the series. The newest narrator, who started in the previous book, makes nearly every character sound much older than they are—even though most are supposed to be in their 30s. It was frustrating because the narration changed how I pictured the characters. Thankfully, I found that increasing the playback speed to 1.2x made the narration much more enjoyable, and I’m glad I stuck with it because the story was worth it.

Love this series but the narrator ruined it

I have listened to every book in this series and really enjoy the character development. This book was so intriguing as it involved a cold case that is fascinating. Highly recommend!
