Great entry into the Middle Falls series!

After a string of so-so Middle Falls books, and one that was even *gasp* boring (Hattie), something I never thought one of these books would be, Inmon has returned to his strength: writing an odd male character who's suffering from a mental health concern (in this case, hoarding).

This one was the first in a while that I really liked. The inclusion of Robert (I had already listened to the bonus novella when it first came out) added to the story. I've also enjoy how in later books you don't get the "family story" right away. As the series has gone on, the pacing has become much better as well. And I'm always amazed at how good the description is and how well developed his characters are, though I think he is much stronger with the male characters, the older ones in particular.

Thanks for another interesting storyline. I have the entire series and go back to them when I need a fun comfort-listen. Happy to add this to my collection 😉

Shawn did it again!

Shawn has a unique way of connecting with his readers that is profound and personal. I’ve read almost all of the Middle Falls books with the exception of Michael Hollister for certain reasons, but I’ll eventually go back and read it. This one brought many tears and anyone who knows me knows that that’s no easy thing to do. Shawn Inmon’s books feel like therapy to me and I’m so grateful for this series.
