Love the story and suspense :) the AI voice was pretty good (reason for giving it four stars).

AI narration made it hard to listen to. I found myself waiting for the next mistake or mispronounced word. An AI can’t build up to an emotionally charged moment so timing and delivery are lost. The plot wasn’t terrible but the use of AI was the elephant in the room. I get it, narrators are expensive and AI is cheap. If I want to have a 10 year old read me a novel then I’ll listen to an automated narrator. Harsh but true.

Kudos to the author for a very original idea, although, it bothers me when characters make insanely boneheaded choices to move the story along and that happened a few times.

Virtual readers are probably where audiobooks are headed, we are definitely NOT yet there. Too many words pronounced incorrectly, so many, many incorrect tones and inflections.

the story is great foe those that like a time travel mystery. very good. the virtual voice has a very straight forward emotionless feeling plus the name Beau is pronounced both Beau and Bow. it gets comical after you notice. The story as mentioned is good.

I loved the story line and its development; this made for a well written book with many plot elements. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
