Publisher's Summary

Alex Hawk is still on Earth, but it is an earth with giant creatures and no technology.

When he stepped through a mysterious, shimmering door in his basement, Alex found himself flung through time. Now, he is called upon to rescue the young girl who is thought to be the Chosen One - the savior of Kragdon-ah.

A dangerous journey, new and deadlier creatures, and hairs-breadth escapes make Lost in Kragdon-Ah a worthy successor to A Door into Time.

Entertaining but frustrating

The naming conventions probably work better in print. But the -ahs & -aks and others really detract and are too similar sounding to differentiate from one another sufficiently.

Also, the only black guy being a childhood drug dealer with a dad he didn't know and a drug addicts mother that matures into an entertainer and vagabond is a little too much the stereotypical view of a middle class white suburbanite.

Shawn Inmon does it again!

Shawn never fails when it comes to his stories! I highly recommend this book and series! The narrator is perfect and it’s one of those book’s that when on audible it has a movie playing in your head. That’s how you know you have a great story!

I smiled a lot

I smiled a lot when I listened to this book. I color while listening to audio books. This stimulates and enhances both, you should try it. I like the fallibility of the male lead. I enjoyed the strength of the female characters. Even as a cat parent I loved the human animal bond. I highly recommend this book.

Good book

The series is going well so far. I like the books but this specific book was a stretch of the storyline from a realistic standpoint. I don’t like the portrayal of the distance and other parts that seem draw out an unrealistic concept. I get it I get it, the actual story is about a guy going through a door into the future. Noted. I’m just addressing this part of the story. Good book that’s why I gave it the 5 stars in overall and performance, just 4 for story.

What an adventure!

I really had no idea where this story was going to go. It kept me bracing for someone's death but the group kept chugging along. Loved the descriptions of all the lands they visited and how technology was slowly evolving in other lands. I truly enjoyed the character development throughout the book and you know the author did an excellent job when I found myself getting teary eyed on the last two deaths. I cannot wait to start listening to the next book.

Didn’t disappoint to thrill me!

After listening to the first book and thoroughly enjoying it I was really keen to hear the continuing story of Alex. The second book didn’t disappoint, it exceeded my expectations! I was again taken on an amazing journey experiencing the lows and the highs almost reduced to tears several times. Needless to say I’m now hooked on the series and can’t wait to get into book 3!

Lost in Kragdon-ah

I loved this story. It was exactly the type of story I love. Now I’m hooked and need to find out what happens next. The characters are so well developed and believable. My heart sank at the end of this one and yet I am now looking forward to seeing where Alex goes from here. Several new areas of his life can now be explored. I can’t wait!

Compelling Reading

And there now I’ve finished another brilliant book by Shawn Inmon. Lost in Kragdon-Ah is as compelling reading as all other books I’ve read from this author. Brilliant story all the way through with even a tear shed for an emotional finish. Without giving too much away the Leech scene made me relive the horror of my childhood growing up in The Bush of Australia coming out of a track and discovering more than a dozen leeches over my legs and abdomen. I enjoyed a laugh at that one. But now as always it’s on to the next Saga in the Alex Hawke Series.

Simple the best

I am only just finished this book, it was just as riviting as the first if not better. l hate clift hangers, even more so when l invested in a storey, besides that, the writer marrys social, warfare, adventure even throws in humer & scarcazum with a hint of romance, not to mention wit. I had many a laugh & l have no dought there is more to come with the following books.
