Publisher's Summary

Everything wrong with Craig Pelling's life can be traced back to one moment in 1986. But fate hasn't finished with him yet. When a series of unfortunate events pushes him to breaking point, he's thrown a lifeline - a trip back to 1986, to relive one weekend as his 16-year-old self. Does the key to a better future lie in reverting one decision he made over 30 years ago?

Fun and engaging read!

I’m a time-travel buff and this is one of my favorites. How many times have you thought about going back into your past to change a decision or outcome? I’ve thought about it a lot and this was a fun way to explore what that might be like being being thrust back into your teenage body and into the past. This book delivered up a healthy dose of 80s nostalgia, humor, heartfelt emotions, and suspense. Well worth the credit! I can’t wait for the next installment!

ZZZZZZ

Kept waiting for something other than an excruciating description of a losers life story. Couple that with the worst audio I've encountered from Audible it was difficult to rate this any higher. Kudos for the narrator to be able to complete this task.

Superb time travel story

If you enjoy your time travel stories, then I think this will become one of your favourites. It reminds me a little of Back to the Future. A person manages to go back in time and adjust the past and future for himself and family. Its not at all goofy, or silly, its a really captivating read that deserves to do well on Audible. The characters are all richly realised and their is real weight to the characters problems, and his efforts to correct what once went wrong. The 86 fix is a two partner, so I'm looking forward to reading the concluding book as soon as it is released, which I believe is within the next week or two.

I definitely recommend this book to both sci fi and fiction fans alike

Funny and engaging. However the ending sucks!

I enjoyed the step back in time with exquisite attention to detail but the end was rushed and confusing and a real anti climax.

Captivating

Ok so firstly this book takes time to get into
Secondly the narrator whilst ultimately good is vastly different to any other narrator in my collections and so I found it hard to get into
Ultimately tho despite these issues and maybe because of these issues the story itself was good enough to overcome these and I found myself having to listen
And now I’ve finished I need to read the next book which I didn’t even knew existed
The story itself revolves around a man who gets the opportunity to reset his life by going back to 1986
The story is well told and sparked my own memories of 86 - whilst I’m not convinced some of the elements are correct I’ve assume they must be and therefore it’s my memory that’s faded - but the author definitely recreates the era well with totally believable characters and places
Well done

good but not perfectly good

I enjoyed it mostly, but felt the end was too abrupt. The narrator is flawed, but that's part of the point of the book. Sometimes that can be too annoying, but not here. Still, I was not completely pleased with how it ended.

Could've been more fun

The idea is excellent and though this book is not badly written, I found it a bit depressing.

Great Read

Funny, touching book which certainly makes you think about your own life, past and future. A definate moral story. The 80s theme was an added bonus as my fave decade. Great book.

Great story with a twist

Takes a little while to get going but you won’t be disappointed. I particularly liked the nostalgic references to 1986!
As time travel novels go I think this is amongst the best and I’ve read many. Must admit I didn’t see the twist at the end coming and am now looking forward to the conclusion in book 2, I hope it’s as good as the first.

Enthralling listen

I only ever listen to audio books in my car for my long round trip to work and back but i couldn't stop listening to this one and ended up listening to large sections of it at home. Brilliantly written that means this is a story that is so easy to get lost in. Its got its upbeat moments along with some very poignant parts. The writer created a main character that for me was very likeable which made the story even more of an emotional rollercoaster.
