Publisher's summary

On the way home from school in 1986, Craig Pelling decided to buy a can of Coke. He wasn’t to know a seemingly innocuous visit to the local newsagent would dramatically change the course of his life.

Fast forward to his 40s, Craig finds himself trapped in a loveless marriage, earning a living in a dead-end job as the manager of an electrical store. He could have been so much more, achieved so much more.

However, fate hasn’t finished with Craig Pelling yet.

A school reunion proves to be the catalyst for chaos and decades on from his visit to that newsagent, Craig’s mundane life is turned upside down as his past comes back to haunt him.

As he plummets towards rock-bottom, all seems lost for Craig until he’s thrown a lifeline — the miraculous lifeline of a brief trip back in time to 1986. Will he be able to fix his life? Is it as simple as just reverting one decision he made over 30 years ago?

Craig is about to find out.

Depressing

Enjoyed the book until the last few chapters. Instead of the happy ending I’d hoped for it ended more like a twisted Twilight Zone. It might appeal to some but not me. Its not something I’d ever want to read or recommend to anyone else. Just my opinion. Just be careful what you wish for.

Fun and engaging read!

I’m a time-travel buff and this is one of my favorites. How many times have you thought about going back into your past to change a decision or outcome? I’ve thought about it a lot and this was a fun way to explore what that might be like being being thrust back into your teenage body and into the past. This book delivered up a healthy dose of 80s nostalgia, humor, heartfelt emotions, and suspense. Well worth the credit! I can’t wait for the next installment!

Great book low audio

I really enjoyed the book, but the audio was so low that I constantly had to push my earbuds in further to barely hear it!

ZZZZZZ

Kept waiting for something other than an excruciating description of a losers life story. Couple that with the worst audio I've encountered from Audible it was difficult to rate this any higher. Kudos for the narrator to be able to complete this task.
