Amazing enemies to lovers romance

I received this as an arc/alc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This was an amazing enemies to lovers romance. It was a really well written story and it had a great flow. The series has become one of my favorites by this author and this book only cemented that. Hudson and Scarlett had such wonderful chemistry and I loved their dynamic. The story touched on some though subjects and was very emotional. I absolutely loved it.

Audiobook review: I loved listening to this story, the narrators were great at portraying the characters and they were very well matched on pace and volume.

Amazing!

Carrie Ann did it again with another great book! I loved every minute of this book. Hudson was perfectly grumpy and Scarlett was an amazing strong FMC. There were parts that were predictable but that did not take anything away from the story. The teaser at the end though... I will say I cannot wait for Sophia's book.

Hudson and Scarlett

A suspenseful, angsty, emotional and heartwarming romance that definitely had me on the edge of my seat. Hudson and Scarlett are great together. She brings out a side of him that is so different than anyone else has the pleasure of seeing. These two are both fighting their own demons but they find their sage harbor with one another. I adored and enjoyed everything about this fantastic story.

Disappointing

The female character in this book is really sad and pathetic and I could not connect nor finish this book or audio like maybe it’s my personality but I can’t deal with that type of personality in women and I just couldn’t get there so maybe somebody else likes to book better than I will. The performance of the narrators was fantastic.

Hudson and Scarlett

The story gripped me and pulled me in from the very first word until the last. It's the fourth book in The Cage Family series, and this time it's the turn of Hudson Cage to find his happy ever after.

Hudson is one of the most interesting characters in this series. He's featured in all the earlier books, and I, for one, couldn't wait to learn his backstory. He's a reclusive artist who now resides permanently at Cage Lake. He carries both physical and emotional scars from his time in the military, as well as emotional scars caused by both his parents. He would do anything for his family and has a protective streak a mile wide. This is an enemies-to-lovers story; the woman who wins his heart is Scarlett, aka Scar, the Manager of the family-owned resort at Cage Lake. Scarlet also has her own emotional scars, caused by an abusive father, as well as her abusive ex.

I loved the push-and-pull between these two; their chemistry is palpable and hot, but their journey to their HEA is far from smooth. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride which has drama, violence, attempted murder and kidnapping, but don't worry, there is also love, loyalty and family, and they do find their happy ever after in the end. Although this is part of a series, it is good enough to stand on its own.

This truly moving story is excellently narrated by Kit Swann and Lance Greenfield
