Doom Guy origins

I freaking loved this book and am looking forward to the next installment. Dean is definitely an MC to look out for

Overall 5 star. Only minor annoyances but still 5star

Mostly amazing, main character is mature and professional, My only complaint is the action is sort of slow motion alongside plot development, it's painfully slow and I had to keep resisting the urge to skip forward 1hr. It's still 5star overall but yeah it's overly wordy and drawn out.

Unique and action packed!

Is a sea of cookie cutter like LitRPG’s this is a breath of fresh air and was a quick and easy listen. Going to Patreon right after this to get access to the next book because i don’t want to wait a month, even though I prefer to read and listen at the same time!

Apocalyptic System Invasion?? Not on Dean’s watch!

When Dean gets dragged out of his bed for a last minute courier delivery to a secret government facility, little did he know his life would never be the same. Thrust into circumstances beyond his control, he learns the truth. The System is here, and it’s not our friend. Learning to balance newfound powers, situations, people, not to mention lifelong anger issues, Dean moves from one headache to another, (and not all of them are his migraines.)

Apocalypse BREAKER is the start of a great adventure, with a protagonist that just won’t quit and some very well developed supporting characters. I’m eager for book 2, and excited to see where this series takes me!

Not your average mc

I like that the MC is a killer who is ok with himself but how his brother’s ghost acts as his conscience to help him grow into more. It has a fun magic/system premise that is a new take on how to hack the system. Thought it was funny how the authors call out some of the common tropes while in them but then tweaking them. Robin was a great addition and totally laughed out loud when almost named mongo. Always enjoy the nods to other greats. Gonna be fun to see how different robin can/will be with different summonings (not sure right word there). Also hilarious to see other species get sucked into the black whole that is tv sitcoms. I’m excited to see what comes next.

Agree there were a few times the narrator mispronounced words that was a little odd. And it took me a sec but I soon came to LOVE the enthusiasm of his narration. His Characters really came alive! Personality and inflection to the nth degree for everything. With announcer like commentary at times. It was great. Found my self saying, APOColypse BREAKER! Out loud a few times. 😂🤣so many litrpgs have a flat mechanical tone especially when system speaks that i honestly find myself zoning out at times. You def can NOT sleep through his narration. I wonder if he records his sessions. I bet they’re fun to watch

Epic hilariousness.

This story just kept me enthralled from the get go.

I love the pet rocks he picks up as he goes along, and then Robin added plenty of hilariousness to the story!

It was more than I expected

I stumbled upon this audio story by chance one day mainly also because I was bored. and in the first story of this audio was more than 20 hours worth they pulling up what an actual beginner level low tier JRPG would be for jrpg game.
but like any story it starts slow and then it pulls you in and it had me for a loop of what was going on when it started and then it led to a deeper understanding of a young man's struggle to find his place in the world and a pain and a loss that hurt him the most cuz he was powerless to prevent what happened.
Small hints of certain things that were always meant to be that he had no clue but a certain someone in his life knew all along there was more to him for what everyone else saw or could see because it was always written off but yet the protagonist of the story was always meant to be the MC with unknown plot armor that has always followed him but unaware that he was surrounded by it his entire life until that fateful night that started his journey to where he is now.
I've always liked fantasy stories growing up as a kid because a way of escape for me and I could definitely relate to the main character, and also mentioning the information that was given of the military branches mentioned in the story because I'm retired military service member who served in the United States Marine corps

like I mentioned it started off slow with the concept of the training method of you learn to crawl walk and run but pretty fast you're running and the small hints and Easter eggs left throughout the entire first audio of the book being told and read to us why we listen it's hilarious insightful and downright insane but funnier than hell that would make me laugh very hard to the point where I was almost crying it's a great book and I've enjoyed the first one can't wait for the second

Game Changing Cheat Codes

This is a very refreshing take on a genre that could easily get stale very quickly. I like that the system encourages thinking outside the box and rewards cleverness even if it’s occasionally to its own detriment. Fun plot twist, the MC starts out low-key sociopathic and the system actually helps him temper that.

This is a fun book yet I can’t help but feel is working up to something much bigger, and I’m excited to see where this series goes.
