Definitely worth a listen.

Johnathan McClain does another great job. The book had some Noobtown vibes but with cultivation. Overall, great time. Looking forward to number 2.

I can't stand the narrator.

The story was meh, probably would have finished this audiobook if the narrator wasn't so annoying.

Criminally Underrated

This was funny, well performed, and perfectly blend nostalgia berries with satire of the genre. Come on bruv. Dew it. I can't believe I almost didn't listen to this. Narrator is a must listen though.

Why are the ratings so low?

Not a serious book but very funny, which is to be expected with the narrator. McLain is one of my favorites and it’s great to see a cultivator spoof. Definitely worth listening to ignore the haters.

The book was very good The first chapters we’re rough however once I got farther in I enjoyed it A lot I will warn you this book it’s funny it’s not a serious Book

Not a full price buy, but definitely worth it for a credit/sale

I was worried this book would be cringe inducing, falling into all the standard tropes, and while it approach those tropes it jokes about them and steps around them while making a joke. This story is definitely more comedy minded than serious, but has its moments. The VA does a lot of the heavy lifting, had it not been for his perfect delivery of some lines it wouldn't have been nearly as funny.

This book reads like a schizophrenic fever dream a too serious version of something that should be a joke but is instead shoved in ours faces in the least funny way!
