Reincarnated into his old self, Li Wei starts over at the lowest point of his life. Marred with a crippled body, he has to depend on his mastery of arrays and future knowledge to carve his own path in the brutal cultivation world.

With his old friends and animal companions, Li Wei sets out on an epic journey to fix his past life's mistakes, achieve his dao, and fight the heavens.

With a SYSTEM to help him, his journey might be easier this time.

Or it might not be....

This is a really good reincarnation story. It brings him back to his youthful self with all the knowledge but he has to grow stronger. He really has an awful family. But he finds a way to get out again, and this time he does it a different way. The narrator is really good and I really enjoyed the story.

If I had to do it all over again.

MC is a 200 year old subpar cultivator. Story starts off strong grabbing your attention. Good action.

the story is interesting, the narrator does a wonder full job, but the word count...

I really wanted to enjoy this audiobook. there are moments and scenes that intrigued me but oh my lord if I have to here back to back "Body Refinement Layer One" again I'm gonna throw my phone. I can understand the author trying to make sure the reader knows which layer and what type a cultivator is on but the lengthy description combined with repeated usage just drags the story and ends up losing me on what the characters are actually doing. Audiobook is NOT the format for this book. at least if reading it you can glaze over the words and get to the meat of the conversation or inner monologue. I'm interested enough to go buy the physical or Kindle edition but I HAVE to skip this audio performance. Narration is peak and I could easily differentiate the characters so the narrator gets an A+ from me.

Really enjoyed the story. Although it contained a lot of the typical wuxia style tropes, I still found the story to be engaging and entertaining. The only issue that I had may have been purely because it was in audiobook format and may not have been as noticeable in print, which was the over use/repetition of certain words and phrases ( such as: referring to the servant girl as lass and the phrase courting death) In print, it may not have been as noticeable, but with it being narrated the repeated use of these words and phrases quickly became grating. I will definitely be continuing the series, but likely will be reading them instead.

Enjoyable story marred by narration.
