Fun beginning

This book is pact full of fun characters. The MC is endearing with his try-hard attitude. Trae stole the show though. He provided a lot of comedic relief. I was expecting more academia but this book is really the origin story of the academia so we may get more in the future. The story was engaging. I finished the book in one sitting. The narration was very well done.

I bought this sight unseen just because it was written by Larry Correa. It’s different than his other works but has all the characteristics of his writing-lots of fighting, cliffhangers, witty dialogue, and great characters. Buy it and enjoy the ride!

This book is a change of pace for Larry Correia and he nailed it. Such a fun and engaging read. Can't wait for the next one in the series.

Hugely Entertaining

The most disappointing thing about this book is that the sequel hasn’t been published yet! Such a great story with memorable characters and world building. My favourite series of Larry Correia’s so far. Can’t wait for the rest of the series!
