Great listen never bored

start with my minor problems with it I love a good time jump that said these were kinda abruptly done and not really bad just felt like I missed a chapter at first that is my only problem with this i loved this book alot every character I wish the religion was explained more indepth for our other characters that aren't Mc and his girl friend but i love the world and its evil bs and good people not being all nice

Awesome world

The world development was great. I enjoyed progression, and there is some great humor that I’ve always enjoyed from Larry Correia. “Just put down tom”, I will be “patiently” waiting for the next book in this series just like his other great series MHI so keep at please

Another great Correia series

Interesting new universe, scrappy new protagonist and Whedon-esque levels of snarky dialog. Can’t wait for the next installment!
But I will, patiently, because I wouldn’t want to make Larry testy.

spellbinding characters and storyline. unforgettable world building. fast paced and fantastic job of drawing the reader in and smacking them around.

The touch of Correia

I think in these modern times, we should change it from the Midas touch to the touch of Correia! Because literally anything Larry puts out is solid gold. This book is a reflection of that! Larry has a talent for spinning a tail that is both rowing and exciting! I was captivated almost immediately after chapter 1! He clearly has a talent for raising up complex characters and developing a very unique universe! Readers can expect to enjoy a riveting tail that will keep you on the edge of your seat balance between cheers of well-deserved, success, and valleys low feeling like the character has no hope.
I sincerely hope you all enjoy this book as much as I have and if you get a chance, take a look at lots of other things that Larry has put out because there’s nothing I haven’t enjoyed that he’s put out!

Great start to a new series

I was excited for this book to come out, burned through it quickly and am looking forward to the next one, which is already written though not released as of this review. Without giving any spoilers, it isn't a typical wizarding school book. The characters are likable and realistic. Series is set up for character growth and skill development and doesn't have a Mary Sue protagonist. Narrator does a good job and is engaging, you can easily tell which character is speaking.

I dont review often, but this was a great book!

This is why I dont ever review books you have to write a minimum when I just want to say if it's good or not and this one is. I am not here to write a damn book report on it.

Fun beginning

This book is pact full of fun characters. The MC is endearing with his try-hard attitude. Trae stole the show though. He provided a lot of comedic relief. I was expecting more academia but this book is really the origin story of the academia so we may get more in the future. The story was engaging. I finished the book in one sitting. The narration was very well done.
