The End of Days has come... but not for us.

The UEC has been fighting a losing battle against the demonic hordes, forced to surrender more ground every day. But aboard the U.S.S. Shotgun Opera, the Overmaiden—a sixth-generation Ghost AI—has just forged humanity’s perfect weapon and best hope: a supersoldier.

The man he used to be is gone, lost with his family to demons on the mining world of Aonus. All that’s left is hate, rage, and unyielding power. Rip, crunch, gore, dismember—the unstoppable juggernaut will slaughter his way through Hell, driven by righteous fury and a singular drive.

And he won’t do it alone. At his side are an exiled angel, a talented xenobiologist, and the Overmaiden herself—not to mention a battle-hardened squad of marines who've been doing this song and dance for years. Together, they’ll fight, bleed, and bear witness to his wrath.

He is nameless. He is the Sword of Mankind.

He is the Hellmarine.

Doom meets Halo

So much better with great narration. This has a 90's Halo Warhammer vib that I could feel my own adrenaline pumping. Yet it still keeps that Virgil vib with the jokes and spice. I keep picturing Madter chef with a huge cockpiece whenever they talk about his size lol. Can't wait for the next book.

That's the sound of the hellmarine

It was very interesting to read a harem book almost exclusively told from the women's perspective. Plus it was fun to see a Doom-esque story. Can't wait for book 2!

A Fresh Take on the Genre

Honestly while I liked the story it was mainly because of how the story was told by side characters and not the supposed MC the hell marine and I doubt i will get the next one i just didn't like HM much at all he was extremely 1 dimensional and honestly boring.

Good one

this book is basically an NC 17 version of Doom with maybe some other influences from things like Star Craft, Warhammer 40k, ect.

I am a Marine and it bothered the hell out of me the He The young man retired Marine has No name or rank. They just call him The Hell Marine or young man and a few others things I can't remember right now. I am sorry but if you start to fight beside Marine and want them to trust you/him they could have at the very least let them know he knows what he is doing. The ai just keeps everything to her self and never tells her hand selected Marine platoon anything about the guy that about to take over. They all fight in hell but because he is bigger and way more nuts the gets the title they should all have. Imagine you go for a job interview and they ask you what your name is and you reply No. That is basically the only thing he says. Other than that it is not bad at all and I really hope there are more. Maybe in book 2 he can give himself a real name. He said it's because he was dead, No he was in cryo and they woke you up. Thats like a man taking a nap and waking up saying I am not that guy anymore my name is No.

Good but not great

Hellmarine *Rips and Tears* his way through demonic enemies as well as the easily removed clothing of his female allies. The official soundtracks would fit so well in a couple scenes if you can just get the timing right so Mick Gordon goes to town on a nine string just as the MC goes to town on...well, I suppose it's multipurpose.

Less gore and visceral depictions of abhorrent violence than I would expect, what with the MC being backed up with a squad of Marines fit to make Sergeant Apone and Lieutenant Ripley proud. If you want Warhammmer 40k grimdark violence, this is not your port of call.

There's humor and pop culture references since the story is reliant on the reader's knowledge of them doing part of the heavy lifting, so you have to accept a certain cheese factor here. While it's not as intensely violent in depiction as you might expect, there is a genuine storyline to follow, and a good one too now that I've enjoyed the entire series. who would've thought the Hellmarine needed therapy?

Doomguy just needed a better name to get some

Virgil Knightley clearly enjoyed DOOM and decided to bring us the Hellmarine. It's over the top and fun, the narration is excellent as always. it's only missing some metal playing in the background during the fights to truly make it perfect

Angry demon killing violence
