An empire has fallen, another blooms in its wake, and one man—who would rather be fishing, thank you very much—has finally accepted his role as its leader.

Thanks to overwhelming might, a cadre of violent animals, and a weaponized fish or two, Tropica has wiped Gormona's royal forces from the map. Now at the helm of his own Church, Fischer finally has some time to relax. But life in Tropica is much like fishing from a rocky shore: it's only a matter of time before you hook a snag.

It seems chi has returned to the area, the Church of Fischer and the village of Tropica have grown, and at least one of Fischer's animal pals has experienced a breakthrough that defies metaphysical understanding. Furthermore, these developments send out waves of essence, their echoes spanning oceans and reaching distant shores.

And unfortunately for everyone involved, they haven't gone unnoticed . . .

The otter is no longer cute. it's just a menace. and the so called super kind MC let's it run around hurting innocent people and destroying other people's property. then the otter smiles and makes plans on who to hurt or what to destroy next. it is necessary for both pets and children to have discipline. the MC provides zero. it's not fun anymore. also the America bashing is very old. Australia and most of the western world would be flattened if America decided to just protect herself. that's also why all these countries can afford to have a welfare state, they don't spend on protection. It's just expected that big mean old America that you demean constantly should protect them, like spoiled entitled children (see Otter above).

tired of the Otter

The story is awesome and I love the references, just needs a bit more of Clive’s wife.

Id marry Heath Miller

you already know if you enjoy the style of this series, however I'll be honest, this one seems to lack direction

as you expect

If you liked the last books you will probably like this one. Don't expect improvements or a better story/plot but more of the same. One worrying thing mentioned is that the world being a 'lower realm'. The worst cultivation trope might bite the story in the rear. I feel like it should have been mentioned up front if this was going to be a thing and not 4 books in. It always rears it's ugly head when authors feel they've run out of ideas and want to reset their stories by moving them up a realm. Just end the story and start a new one, don't false reset them with this bullshit trope. Anyway, it's barely mentioned but makes me a little worried.

More of the same.
