Ezra Knight is the biggest rockstar to ever walk the planet, but before he belonged to the world, he belonged to me.

He was my brother's best friend, my soulmate and protector, and when their band—Demon's Curse—took off, so did he.

He was like a roaring tornado, crashing through my world and sweeping me off my feet, and just when I had it all, I was abandoned. Left to fend for myself at the hands of a monster. For eight long years, I blamed him for everything that was out of his control.

But one phone call changed it all.

And when Lenny Davidson—the head of Louder Records—calls to offer you the world, you scoop it up with both hands. Only that offer comes with strings attached. Strings that are tied directly to Ezra Knight, leaving me with one hell of a choice to make.

Take the job as the new head of marketing for Demon's Curse and have to face the man who crushed me every single day, or wave goodbye to everything I've ever worked for.

What could possibly go wrong?

I loved reading this book and couldn't wait for it to come to audible. The story can be intense at times. When I first read the book I cried when it got to the whole Axel part. Won't go into detail in case anyone hasn't read or listened to it.

I was waiting for this audiobook!

I enjoyed the paces this book put my heart through. Sadness, anxious, disgusted, loved, hurt, etc. I appreciate books that make me feel what’s happening. Even through the messed up parts of the story, I appreciated the writing and telling of the story because unfortunately stuff like that happens in this world. I’d rather feel every moment the author put me through than it swept to the side in the story. For that I give it 4.25⭐️’s.

I thought it was well written and well paced. I didn’t feel like it droned on and on or have rewritten/rehashed previous moments just to extend the book (maybe I’m a lil triggered & tired of authors doing that in many books I’ve read lol). It just really stood out to me that I wasn’t experiencing any of the negative aspects I guess I’ve felt lately while reading and I also never really had an instance where the characters’ actions or the story itself felt unbelievable. I just really appreciated the story and the writing style felt refreshing.

The only negative non believable part was that his drug use was simply magically gone after she showed up like he wouldn’t have some kind of withdrawal that an 8 year constant user would probably have.

The narrators were good. I wish it was a Duet, of course! Though I really enjoyed the female narrator, Alyssa Avery, a lot. She just had a way of making me feel like she was truly the character and not just simply reading a book.

4.25⭐️’s
