Slade Cruz is the devil.
He’s intimidating, sexy as sin, and unpredictably wild. His eyes draw me in while his vicious smirk screams at me to run and never look back. I’m a toy to him, a pawn to use in his devilish games.
I’ve already suffered through hell and back and if it’s games he wants then it’s games he’ll get, but he should be warned, this time it’s my turn to play the lead.
This time, I get to be the devil.
Aston Creek High was supposed to be my fresh start. This was my one shot at freedom, but he had other plans for me. Slade Cruz was never a part of my plan, but he sure as hell made me part of his. I thought I was through with fighting to survive, but it seems as though the games have only just begun.
Give it your best shot, Slade. I’m ready.

Really enjoyed the narration. The narrators did such an amazing job portraying Sky and Slade along with the other characters.

This book starts with Ugly Girl. This book is told from Skylah's point of view. Skylah and her brother Blake have had a rough past. After getting away they discovered they had relatives and now live with their aunt and uncle.
Upon arriving at a new school bad boy Slade is instantly out to get Skylah, and she's not sure why. She will do whatever she can to bring down bad boy Slade and show that she's been through worse. But what happens when some of her deepest darkest secrets come out?
Lost Girl is the second book in the Ashton Creek High series. This book starts off right where book one ends. So much has happened to Skylah in her life, and Lucian is still after her. Secrets come out about Slade and more about Skylah's past.
Skylah and Slade both go through so much in this book. I loved their banter, their back and forth, and their happy moments too. Skylah has to go through changes with her brother, and people she considered friends as well. When Lucian shows back up can Skylah and Slade get by his evil ways?
Wild Girl is the third book in the Ashton Creek High series. This book starts off with Skylah and Slade being run off the road. Skylah wakes up in an ambulance and has some stuff going on.
Skylah and Slade's relationship is still growing, but Lucian is still after Skylah. Skylah will do anything to stay out of Lucian's hold and to keep her brother and family safe.
Real Girl is the fourth and final book in the Aston Creek High series. This is the continuation of Skylah and Slade's story and starts right where book three ends.
This book is everything to bring this amazing series to an end. Skylah will do anything to rid Lucian Valentine of this world. He's an evil monster who has tormented her from when she was young.
Skylah is a strong heroine, but she's even stronger with Slade by her side. I loved seeing these two grow since book one. Secrets, lies, and twisted times came out in all of the books in the series.
Will Skylah get her revenge against Lucian? Will Skylah and Slade get their happy ending? I loved this series so much, and it will definitely be one I reread over and over!

“There’s nothing I like more than taking down a queen…”
Juicy!
This is a dramatic, YA read featuring a female lead with a very dark recent past. Despite the dark themes and dark-ish (at times) environment, it still manages to be hilarious thanks to lots of witty banter and a very sarcastic female lead.
Absolutely hooked from start to finish, and as I write this, I’m waiting to be able to listen to book 2 in completion after a production issue. Excellent read. Overall: 4 stars.
Riches to rags.
Crime families.
Arranged marriage.
Violent SA (of a minor).
Awful foster parents / guardians.
Set in high school.
Mean girls / bullies.
Betrayal.
Thr33some (with minors).
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Written in 1st-person POV.
Book 2: ‘Lost Girl’
Upon finishing book 1, the only thing I could do was immediately start book 2—I’m hooked bad and dying for book 3 as I write this. (Always with this author, who has quickly become a fave.)
This series has a tight hold on me and I couldn’t put this book down—the only reason I didn’t read it in one sitting is because there was a hiccup with the audio production and I had to wait for Audible to allow me to download the updated version. (So it was 2 sittings.)
Suspense.
Action.
Violence.
High school bullying.
Sooo much drama, lies, scandal, betrayal, etc.
Lots of talk of … ‘grape’ and ‘grape’ survivors.
Trafficking.
Small town vibes.
K!dnapping.
Pranks (and not the same tired ones I seem to read in everything).
A VERY determined antagonist.
Strong family ties in a ‘found family’.
4 stars.
Book 3: ‘Wild Girl’
Seriously, how could I NOT read this book after that ending in book 2?! Thankfully, it picks up right were 2 left off and I found myself thinking, ‘Wow, this is so aptly titled…’ just a few minutes in. Absolutely brilliant.
Anne knows how to write an incredibly strong female lead who only manages to grow on multiple fronts and end up even stronger before she’s done.
Action, danger, suspense, violence.
Extreme injuries (from aforementioned action & danger).
Found (literal) family.
Fun, current pop-culture references.
Realistic banter.
Jocks … and mean girls.
Heart-wrenching scenes.
Trafficking (of minors).
Talk of SA (of minors).
I can’t even describe the hold this series has on me—the writing, the fictional town/world, the characters, the suspense, the action, the mix of violence and hope of a bright future—and STILL the promise of a very dark immediate future … it just packs everything and moves FAST. 100% recommend—but you’ll need the whole series, trust me on that one.
After absolutely dying for it, it was everything I expected it to be, and more. Can’t wait for the next.
4.5 stars.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Book 4: ‘Real Girl’
Kidnapping.
SA of minors.
Forced marriage (again: of a minor).
Violence.
Murd3r.
R*pe, though it’s not shown in this installment.
Ars0n.
SO MUCH vengeance.
Basketball stars.
^Those are just a few of the tropes / aspects you’ll find in this installment, and there are even more across the 4-book series. This is the final installment in a dark, suspenseful series that kept me absolutely dying for the next one—what a fun ride it was.
If you were to hear a synopsis, you might think, ‘That’s implausible’, but it really wasn’t for me. Kids are sometimes forced to grow a lot beyond their years and not really have a childhood. It also depicts some dark scenes, very specific ones, that you may want to think are implausible, but I can tell you from experience that sadly, they’re not. The characters were developed in a way that explained their evolution and growth and made all that happened not only plausible, but absolutely fitting … and satisfying for some of us fellow survivors.
No one designs a b4da$$, wise-well-beyond-her-years, female lead quite like Sheridan Anne. This was a quick read that just wrapped up the series as a whole and still: it was unputdownable.
Well done.
4 stars.

I absolutely love Sheridan's books! I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Skylah and Slade over the course of the series. It was extremely messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book.
Stefanie and Nathaniel did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this series if you're looking for a dark romance, bully romance, high school romance, or romantic suspense.

This was such a whirlwind of drama and action that had my emotions all over the place, and it led to a beautiful HEA. It was perfect that I was once again on a trip so that I could continue to listen without many interruptions!
Stefanie Kay and Nathaniel Gray were great narrators. Stefanie Kay does male and female voices well. They both have easy to listen to voices. Their emotional performances had it rolling like a movie in my head.

Book 1: Ugly Girl
3.5*
Starts off with Sky complaining about everyone at her new school not knowing anyone. It more of her pushing Slade's buttons. Then there are all these things revealed and it seems nothing is done. I really like a bit of realism when certain things happen in a story line even though this is just a story but this is just my preference. The revelation that was discovered at the end was a big one
Book 2: Lost Girl
4*
There are a lot of revelations revealed. Truths about the past come to light. Families are torn apart. Relationships are questioned and tested. Teenage dramas are also mixed in. Ends in cliffhanger good thing this is the whole series in one audio. It's interesting there were some parts that were eh for me but it wasn't that bad I just overlooked it.
Book 3: Wild Girl
3.5*
More information about the past is revealed. Surprise visitors. This one was a bit aggravating because things keep happening and nothing is being done. You would figure she'd at least learn some moves to fight or at least keep your guard up because it seems the police are useless. Of course this ends in a cliffhanger.
Book 4: Real Girl
3.5*
The conclusion. It was good just still don't know how some things happen and what they go against like nothing is going to happen with it being high schoolers going against bodyguards. All the stories had their ups and downs. I really liked the aunt though.
The narrator did a good job.
