"Don't even think about running, sweetheart." A silken threat, his voice slithers around me. "You belong to me."

Sold to the Brotherhood. Betrayed by my sister and ex, I clawed my way free, leaving a trail of gunfire and darkness deeper than the basement cell.

Now, I wake, a captive in a gilded cage.

Damian, Chicago's most ruthless mob boss, claims me with a single word: "Mine."

His touch offers a twisted security, but the danger hasn't ended.

Now, with a secret life blossoming within me, the real battle begins.

Can a ruthless mob boss become a father before his world explodes?

Savage Devotion is a full-length standalone, spicy, mafia romance. Perfect for you if you love age gaps, pregnancy, and a Cinderella-style plot—with kidnapping, of course.

Good plot to begin with. I always try to finish a story especially when I paid for it. Unfortunately, almost half way thru, I couldn't continue reading any longer. Even with the attempt to make the female character strong in character & courageous. Omg! I couldn't stand how pathetically naive & no sense of survival she has. This book is not for me. Wish I can get my credit back!

This is my first 🎧book by this author and maybe me last, it was a boring slow burn that’s such a shame because I had high hopes. I love a good age gap, love story but this book never had a chance with the wrong narrators reading this book sigh. Is it worth a credit? It’s a no for me.

If you're considering this book, be aware that the female protagonist consistently makes baffling decisions that defy logic. I genuinely tried to stick with the story, hoping her character would develop or improve, but her cluelessness only became more frustrating as the plot progressed.

Whenever she faced a sensible option, she inevitably chose the worst possible path, making it hard to root for her. By the time I realized nothing was going to change, I was already too invested to quit, which made the experience even more disappointing. I don't plan to continue with this author or series, although the first book was worthwhile—I'd recommend stopping there.

The narration was a mixed bag. The male narrator was dreadful and detracted from the listening experience, while the female narrator was fantastic. It's unfortunate she didn't have a strong character to bring to life. Overall, the story was painful.

PAINFUL!
