How do you go from blind date to shotgun wedding in a single afternoon?

You catch the eye of a man like Maximo Leonotti, that's how.

It's not like he had to force me. I was hooked on the stormy-eyed stranger from the moment we met… right up until I felt the pinch in my arm.

The next thing I know, I'm waking up on his private jet, halfway to Las Vegas. Apparently, for an impromptu wedding. Our wedding.

That's when the panic sets in. This can't be happening. I'm Elira Përmeti, daughter of Afrim, leader of the Albanian mafia. If I go missing, all hell will break loose.

But when I tell Maximo, he just smiles. Turns out, he already knows all of my secrets, and now it's time I hear one of his:

My father owes him a debt, and I'm the payment.

Devil's Lily is a standalone, dual pov dark mafia romance featuring a possessive, 'touch her and I'll unalive you' type anti-hero and a feisty, smart heroine. No OW drama, no cliffhanger, and a hard-won HEA.

It definitely took longer to get into this story
It's wasn't terrible it was just.... Missing something... The audiobook was good it helped me not DNF the book. I don't think I'll be continuing the series.

This was a good story with the writing of a sheltered girl having no experience with the world and then falling for a woman that he loves ❤️

REALLY GOOD 👍 WRITING A SHELTERED GIRL

Maximo & Elira. The story was okay a mafia romance. Basically Maximo kidnaps Elira and marries her in lieu of the debt her father owes him. I really liked Maximo and his crew. Elira is annoying, arrogant, immature, not a likable character.
The story has some drama, mystery, no cheating, angst or other women. Epilogue. This is my first time listening to this author and the other characters in the story did peak my interest. On to the next.

DNF! I got 73% complete and was just so irritated I decided to quit. I wanted to like this book, but just couldn’t. I real a lot of dark mafia, stalking, etc., & can usually tolerate the dark themes, provided the FMC isn’t a blithering idiot and/or doesn’t become Stockholmed.
I get that Alira was very sheltered & nieve but the utter lack of a backbone, especially when it’s written that her brother trained her through different scenarios, was quite irritating.
Also, the r@pey way Maximo consummated the so called marriage was gross. Then after she was shot, and how she reacted to the spaghetti & meatballs Maximo ate, was cringey.
Again, I am a fan of dark books, but the lack of TWs, particularly dub-con & Stockholm syndrome caused part of my deduction. I won’t finish the series either. Lastly, I purchased the audiobook and story asides the narration was fine & was probably why I made it as far in the book as I did.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Some parts were good but others did not make any sense. The sex scenes seemed advanced for what it should be. Vague for no reason and then oversharing, its very confusing.
